Here are a couple of pictures of the stairs I completed. Excuse the delay updating the final pictures, I was out of commission for a bit. Anyway, the treads and handrail are Red Oak with a black stain, and the risers, balusters, and newel posts are an off white which matches the color of the existing trim in the house.

Here are some pictures of the interior stairs we are redoing on Washington St. What the pictures unfortunately won’t show is what they looked like before we started demo. There was a handicap chair that was attached to the left side of the stairs, and a half wall with the lovely 70’s paneling up to a equally attractive handrail. Along with the awesome decor was a nice carpet that ran up the risers and across the treads the entire staircase. That being said we removed the half wall and handicap chair, and all of the treads and risers. Also, we added to the framing on the stringers to give more stability and additional nailing needed to attach the new Red Oak treads supplied by Hammond Lumber in Camden, shout out to Frank Gaiero for the material assist.
Finished product is Red oak treads with black stain, Red Oak handrail to match, with linen white risers and balusters to match existing trim color.

This is a job we’ve recently started on Washington St. in Camden. The existing decking is old Doug for T&G, and all of the framing is rough cut 2x6. We are removing all of the original porch and completely reframing it with pressure treated framing, and composite decking and railings. Here are some pictures of what we’ve been up to.

If it's a day that ends in Y we seem to be getting after it somewhere, for someone. Whether it be for a client or for our own personal projects, keeping busy is a way of life for some people, especially Mainers. Here is the start of another project by GSC. The scope of work is very diverse, and the interior scope includes everything from remodeling two bathroom with tile showers and floors, to bookshelves, cabinetry in the changing room and a fireplace surround. All custom built. The exterior scope includes trim, ceiling, and deck resurfacing with Azek composite.
