The finished basement project is complete and ready for fun and enjoyment!
I can't thank these clients enough for letting us be a part of making their dream become a reality. What seemed like a daunting challenge when I first stepped foot into a blank slate of concrete walls and stark utility spaces became a beautiful showcase of what can be accomplished when we all work together as a team. Sharing ideas and inspirations created what is now a beautifully flowing extension of the rest of their home. I loved their vision and ideas from the beginning. They absolutely knocked it out of the park with the design, layout, colors and all the finishing touches they chose to use. And to boot it's not just fashion but the use of all the space is very functional and efficient.
Rooms/areas include a bar area with provisions for a pool table, an exercise room, a theater room, bathroom with custom tiled shower, kids craft/play room, finished and unfinished closets and storage.
Highlights a high efficiency heating and cooling system, separate fresh air ventilation system with automatic humidity control hidden behind a custom barn board cover, ultra efficient insulating method, foundation waterproofing and air sealing. High efficiency windows. Super durable vinyl plank flooring, native rough cut pine boards (from a local saw mill) for accent walls, a convenient bench seat with storage hides the main sewer clean out, custom access panels for the well equipment that blend into the walls, hidden access panels within the barn boards near the bar and too many more details to list!
Hardly feels like a basement now. It took a lot of work and planning but in the end was very rewarding and gratifying. I'm proud to say that everyone involved pulled through with a combination careful thought and preparation to help us avoid any major setbacks or problems that can happen during with type of project.
