When we founded 10K Architecture, we committed to establishing a client-focused firm, providing a high level of value and service. We have over 25 years of combined experience in commercial, institutional and residential architecture and to us, all projects big and small are significant. We chose architecture because it lends itself to limitless creativity, because buildings influence the way we l

ive, and most importantly because we can help others realize their dreams. Only when we listen to and deliver on our client’s goals and needs can we enhance their daily lives through innovative, functional solutions. No, we’re not busy running 6.2 miles. But if we were, it would likely be around one of Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes. Our name is at the root of what we love and what we do, and that is to design specifically for the place that holds both our homes and our hearts: the Midwest and it's spectacular landscapes, cultures and climate.

Construction is well underway for Alma Flor Ada Spanish Immersion Academy in Woodbury. The 10K team could not be happier for Alma Flor Ada’s staff, students, and parents who will soon move into their new home! 10K Architecture partnered with to renovate the common areas at Arcata Apartments in Golden Valley, Minnesota, enhancing leasing functionality, improving space efficiency, expanding amenities, and modernizing the overall aesthetic.

The main-level lobby, lounge, leasing offices, and mail/package areas were reconfigured to improve flow and usability, including the addition of a game room with bar and a new package room. The second-floor fitness center was relocated to the main level, allowing the former space to be converted into a residential unit—creating significant value for ownership. The upper-level community room received cosmetic updates.

The refreshed design is modern, bright, and inviting, featuring patterned felt walls, custom artwork and furnishings, and layered geometric forms and textures that create dynamic resident spaces.

10K Architecture is collaborating with Alma Flor Ada Spanish Immersion and Goldridge Companies on the design of a new 14,000-square-foot early learning academy in Woodbury. Alma Flor Ada’s innovative curriculum focuses on empowering children to thrive in a global community through Spanish language immersion and social-emotional growth.

In close partnership with Alma Flor Ada, 10K Architecture has designed a facility that supports future expansion while reflecting the school’s global mission. The contemporary building will showcase custom murals, a vibrant and colorful interior palette, distinctive lighting, and thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor play areas featuring custom play equipment.

We are excited to share Picklehall! 10K is working with Markid Properties on the design of a 67,695 SF facility in Apple Valley. The design includes 18 pickleball courts, and a two story food hall with self pour beer taps and 4 unique food tenants. The design features two ground level patios and a roof deck with glass garage doors that will activate the outdoor areas and engage with a rapidly developing area in Apple Valley. Excited to get this one going! The additions to both buildings at 6700 and 6750 were designed to be complementary to the existing mid century modern office buildings, yet with a contemporary flair. The additions address handicap accessibility issues, provide a comfortable lobby area, and create a dramatic presence from France Avenue. Construction starting this summer. Great collaboration with Diversified Construction, Sandman Structural Engineering, and Civil Site Group.

10K Architecture partnered with Shine Wealth on their latest office at The Carlson Towers in Minnetonka, Minnesota. This 4,842-square-foot space, located on the 10th floor, is designed to take full advantage of the surrounding views. Building on their previous collaboration at Shine Wealth’s Eagan location, the Carlson project continues to reflect the established brand standards, which include bright finishes, ample natural light, and a modern yet welcoming atmosphere. The office features premium advisor offices, flexible open workspaces, a custom coffee bar, and a variety of casual seating areas for both work and relaxation.

Final photographs are in!

The extensive renovation of the clubhouse at Woodland Pointe Apartments transformed the space into a vibrant hub of activity and relaxation, enhancing the living experience for all residents. The underused and problematic indoor pool has been converted into a spacious community room and state-of-the-art fitness center, complemented by an expanded leasing office, a pool-side game room, and a dedicated work-from-home space that is equipped with all the essentials for productivity.

The renovation preserved the building’s most striking architectural feature—wood glue laminated beams and ceilings—meticulously cleaned and exposed to serve as the foundation for a mid-century modern aesthetic throughout the clubhouse. The design of the new spaces draws inspiration from these original wood ceilings, blending contemporary touches with classic charm to create a cohesive and inviting atmosphere.

The 10K team recently completed a project with to renovate the amenity spaces on the top floor of The Venue on Knox apartment building. The height of this building offers exceptional views of Minneapolis and Lake Bde Maka Ska. The layout of the commmnity room and roof deck has been carefully considered to maximize these views. The interiors incorporate mid century elements while mixing in an air of whimsy.

Final photographs are in for Hugo! The modern prairie style exterior features large overhangs, wood soffits, stone accent walls, and a warm finish palette. The scale of the building was carefully considered to fit within a more residential context. Great collaboration by the entire team!
