Happy Heavenly Father’s Day, Dad. ❤️

Today I’m sharing a few photos of the man who inspired my love of photography and taught me so much about seeing the beauty in the world around us. From fishing trips and outdoor adventures to simply slowing down and appreciating the little things, those lessons continue to shape who I am both behind the camera and in life.

I hope you’re catching all the big fish and enjoying a big ice cream today. 🍦🎣

Thank you for the memories, the wisdom, and for sparking a passion that has become such a big part of my life. I miss you every day.

One thing this past year has reminded me is how important photographs truly are. Take the pictures. Get in the frame. Book the session. Capture the everyday moments, not just the milestones. We never know which photos will someday become our most treasured memories, and the people we love deserve to be remembered.

And to all the dads, grandpas, stepdads, and father figures out there, Happy Father’s Day! May your day be filled with love, laughter, and time spent with the people who matter most. 💙📸

Happy Nature Photography Day! 🌿📷

Nature photography is where my photography journey began, and it still holds a special place in my heart. Long before I was photographing families and pets, I was out chasing sunsets, getting down in the grass to photograph tiny insects, and finding beauty in the details most people walk right past.

Yesterday, I spent some time photographing the world around me during the rainfall. I watched a graceful heron standing quietly in the distance, listened to a red-winged blackbird calling from the fields, admired the fresh blooms on our roses and peonies, and ended the evening with a stunning sunset painted across the sky.

One of the things I love most about nature photography is how it encourages us to slow down and truly observe. There is beauty everywhere when we take the time to look for it.

A piece of history rolled through Hornell today. 🚂

Union Pacific Big Boy 4014, the world's largest operating steam locomotive, made its way through town and reminded us all of an era when steam ruled the rails. Built in 1941 and weighing over a million pounds, this incredible machine continues to turn heads 85 years later.

Some photos capture a moment.

Others capture a relationship.

When my mom and I stepped in front of the camera together, I knew I wanted to create something that went beyond a photograph. I wanted to create something that reflected years of love, support, laughter, lessons, and countless memories.

After our session, I transformed one of our images into a piece from my Connection Series as a Mother’s Day gift.

Watching her unwrap it was special. Seeing it hanging on her wall, where she gets to enjoy it every day, means even more.

As a photographer, I love creating beautiful images. But what truly matters to me is preserving the people who make our lives meaningful. The connections. The stories. The relationships that shape who we are.

Because one day, these photographs become more than artwork.

They become reminders of how deeply we were loved.

This is why I create the Connection Series. Not just to decorate a wall, but to celebrate the bonds that deserve to be remembered forever.
