Pelicans skim just above the surface of the water seemingly defying gravity. When they fly less than a wingspans distance from the water it allows pelicans to take advantage of “ground effect” (reduction of the drag of gravity). They also fly against the wind to gain lift by rising into a gust, then zigzag down when the wind fads to gain speed and glide with their flaps down to produce more lift at lower speeds.

WHERE CAN YOU SEE ME NEXT: In any situation there's always a positive to be found...I'll have a PACKED BOOTH for COVINGTON, Dec. 2th-4th, with MORE ORIGINALS to join the fun!!!
