Basic Fees and Costs of Services w/ Pictures of Examples

All prices listed are are starting price for a 6"-8" bonsai and increases with size
Face to Face Home Visit Consultation $50
Bonsai repotting and root trimming and my custom mixed and prepared substrate starting at $150 with additional charges if new pot is needed
Basic bonsai shaping and styling 130$
Foliage management which should be done regularly with pruning and trimming $80
Application of wire used to manipulate branches $175 and $100 for removal of old wire. Additional charges may apply when removing old wiring that has caused scaring or damage needing fixed.
Rehabilitation of sick or dying trees 200$
Pest treatment and removal 75$
Treatment of fungal infections or diseases starting at 140$ and up depending on severity and amount of time in care till issue is resolved
Customize to order pre-bonsai to start you on your journey in the hobby with personal delivery to your door by hand $150
Individual basic beginner level instruction 75$ an hour per person up to 3. Groups of 4 or more 120$.
Intermediate level instruction $100 hr per person and $145 for groups of 4 or more
Advanced courses $130 hr per person $175 for groups of 4 or more
Additonal charges may apply if wanting to purchase tools or a bonsai to learn with and work along side me as I demonstrate what to do and how

Nebari development of surface roots which is often a crucial part of the aesthetic that makes bonsai $300

Shari creation and development. This is drastic work in the removal of sections of bark from the tree, and intentionally killing specifically planned out branches or sections of the tree, creating deadwood on the trunk for a stunning and dramatic look of an ancient gnarly tree beaten and shaped by a harsh environment $300-$400 depending on amount done
Artistically skilled and fine detail wood carving and creation of features on the trunk or branches $250

Landscape Ornamental Trees and Shrubs and Additonal Special Services
Pruning and or shaping $450
Placement and planting of ornamental landcape trees $200
Garden planning or for that of display setup of your bonsai for a classy and upscale look in your garden- no fixed rate and is something haggled over and agreed upon
Help with or work on potted houseplants I do case by case scenario and do not always do it. I will use my knowledge and expertise to help but its not really my area of focus in what I do.
Rates depend on size of tree or plant. If potted trees or houseplant I will typically go by the gallon size of the pot. Thank you very much for looking.
