My favorite little lamp got an upgrade. I used to think a plain white drum shade was perfect because it’s clean and crisp— and that’s probably still true sometimes— but I’m now very into color, pattern, and texture, and this shade is just too cute. Swipe ➡️ to see it before.

I gave my living room coffee table a little refresh today, and the key is to mimic the shape of the table with the decor. For example, my family room coffee table is rectangular, so I put the decor in a rectangle. Since this table is round, the decor makes more of a circle. I also make sure to use a stack of books, and a combination of items that always include something living and an “odd ball object”— something with some character, like my grandmother’s cranberry glass bowl. Go give your table a little love!

Over the years, I’ve used peel-and-stick wallpaper at least five times, and frankly, I loved it. But it’s okay to change your mind, right? We added real, professionally installed, wallpaper to our powder room and painted the trim and inside of the door the same color as our adjacent cabinets. ➡️ To see my peel-and-stick update shortly after we moved in, and ➡️➡️ to see the 🫣 real “before” the day we moved in.
