Peeping another brand new plant blooming today.

This one just called PARADISE FOUNTAIN. It’s just beautiful. The temperatures have been a little lower this week, but I’ll bet that with the striking pink veins running through this one…. That it gets super vibrant in the heat.

Alas, I may have to wait until next year to see what the heat can do to it!

I spy with my little eye… INFLOS!!!! Coming on my Filifolia Plumeria!!!!

I couldn’t be more excited!
Yes they’re small, but they won’t be for long. Stay tuned - because soon I’ll have bloom flowers to show you from the most unique plumeria I have growing.

For those of you who’ve been messaging and asking - we should still have a few of these available Saturday.

And if you haven’t booked your appointment yet? Why not? lol. Come out and see us!

This isn’t my first time posting SARABURI FIREWORKS, but it’s interesting to see how the flowers progress as the plant matures.

2023 was the first year this one bloomed, and the flowers were smaller and not quite as colorful. This year they’re blooming in bunches, the size has increased, and they’re much brighter.

This is typical. The first time your plumeria cutting blooms - it may look a little wonky. But usually by the 2nd season…. It will very resemble the parent plant much more.🌸🌸

Here’s another super vibrant Variety that is blooming for the first time this year.

This one is LURLINE, and interestingly enough this one started out more Reddish in color, but is getting more pink, orange and yellow hues in her petals this week.

It’s an indication of the time of year. Early in the summer I watch everything turn more and more red as it heats up. The slightly cooler temps this week are having the reverse effect! 🌸🌸

One more for tonight, and then I’m off to bed.

This one is CELESTIAL STORM.
I acquired her at a local plumeria plant sale a couple summers ago.

I’m fascinated by her this year, because not only do I think this is the first time it’s bloomed (I miiiiight be mistaken), but every single flower is popping open with SIX petals!

This has never happened on with any plumeria I’ve had.

Oh yes… and she’s also beautiful!

Okay so here’s a brand new one for us this year.
This is the first time we’ve seen it bloom.

The first set of images were taken today.
The second set of pictures are the very first blooms that opened a little over a week ago. There’s quite a difference between them in the coloring.

The distinctive veining is present in both sets though.

Anyway, she’s a stunner either way: VOLCANIC LIGHTNING

Anyone who asks my mom, will hear her say that this one was not only her very first plumeria ever, but to this day - it’s also still her favorite… even over all the exotic colors we’ve collected over the years.

That’s because YELLOW CHIFFON, has the strongest traditional perfume-y smell of anything in the yard.
Last summer, my folks graciously gifted the Hubbs and me a full size tree! We love it too!

Still taking appointments for next weekend if you’d like to come out! Make sure to send me a message so we can get you scheduled.

In the meantime - more flower pictures.
(I’m glad the sale isn’t this weekend after all, because the weather hasn’t been cooperating)

I post this one every season - it’s a Houston staple: SLAUGHTER PINK.

It’s named for the man that brought it to town, and it has become known as Houston’s Plumeria because of how well it does here. Not the rarest or most expensive variety, but it is the most prolific bloomer, and best grower we have.
… it’s also nearly impossible to kill if you’re new to Plumerias 😉

My parents have a few 8-10 foot tall trees of this one in their yard, and they’ve been blooming since late March/early April. They’ll keep right on blooming probably through mid November. The long flowers no season makes it a favorite!

I got a new phone with a better camera recently, and these photos are coming out great today!
