Meg Lonergan Interiors THE SOUL IS IN THE STORY

Meg Lonergan Interiors shares stories that inspire and educate.

Each project is a narrative that connects people to the beauty, meaning, and possibilities within design. Since founding her company in 2009, Meg LeSueur Lonergan has become one of Houston’s most in-demand designers, known for creating sophisticated interiors that highlight homeowners’ sensibilities and personalities. Born in South Louisiana but uprooted at an early age, Meg lived abroad in Singap

ore, New Zealand, and France until she moved to Houston with her Kiwi husband. Her design ethos stays true to Southern elegance, tradition and history while reflecting her multi-cultural exposure. Clients turn to Meg for her keen eye to mix the old with the new, the classic with inventive, fine antiques with flea market finds, and eclectic with traditional. She creates unique designs by harmonizing her client’s tastes and treasures with custom art, accessories, antiques, draperies and furniture. Meg is very attentive to design details and takes a hands-on approach for every project whether it is a simple refresh or a new construction home. Meg Lonergan and her work has been featured in the Houston Chronicle, The Scout Guide Houston, Texas Home & Living, Better Homes and Gardens and House Beautiful magazine.

This guest room is such a fun mix of surprises. ✨

We incorporated several pieces my client already had and added a few new ones to her collection. The room started with a beautiful hollyhock fabric for the headboard. We loved its vibrant greens, apricots, and pinks, and layered it with a pretty rose grasscloth wallcovering.

The space mixes so many different textiles — embroidery, stripes, solids, geometric patterns, and florals — but it still feels calm and soothing. Our favorite thing in the room is the antique Oushak rug with its beautiful shades of coral, mint, and melon. It’s such a happy piece, and it feels so good to have something old in the mix.

I think it’s that unexpected combination of elements that makes a space feel so curious. You want to take it all in and linger a little longer.

This study wasn’t part of the original scope, be we decided to add it in and now it’s the most dramatic before-and-after in the house.

Now it’s the client’s favorite space, which brings us so much joy. It’s cozy and warm and lined with their book collection. She even hosts her book clubs here. We chose Jasper fabric on the chairs and Delft tiles on the fireplace. We laid out every tile on site. It’s a very comfortable library and there’s also a game table — it’s a room meant for lingering. And we love the Howe London chandelier, which feels especially spectacular in the evening.

We love this shot of our client’s hall bath at their cabin in Wimberley. The ruffled skirt around the sink feels so darling alongside the ‘Madame Elisabeth’ striped wallpaper by pierrefrey. This pattern is one of our favorites and we especially love it in the Tournesol color way. 💛

We’re always striving for that balance of old and new, texture and restraint, tension and ease. And of course, bringing in elements we know to be exceptional, like the ruffled trim on the drapes, or the pair of antique French wall‑sconce candelabras, art, unique ceramics, a handmade rug. It’s all part of a dialogue that breathes life into a home. ✨

Thank you, Austin Home Magazine, for such a warm and thoughtful tour of our Wimberley cabin project. This home was a true labor of love. We layered it with art, antique furniture, vintage treasures, and collected pieces that give every room its own story.✨

We are heartbroken to hear of the passing of Dave Dawson, co‑founder and president of the Urban Electric Co.

Dave and his incredible team graciously hosted us twice in Charleston. We loved touring their growing, impressive, and bustling factories, where we were passionately and proudly
shown the Urban Electric way.

It was impossible not to feel inspired by the craftsmanship, the culture he built, and the generosity he extended to everyone who walked through those doors.

I remember being overwhelmed (and honestly in awe) of how much the business had grown between our first and second visits.

Those trips, where we were treated like absolute queens, and Dave’s unmistakable energy reshaped the way I saw our industry: the value of true craft and American‑made, the role of Southern hospitality in building lasting relationships,
and most importantly, the reminder that anything is possible.

It felt natural to jump on the Urban Electric bandwagon. All the light Dave exuded, and all the light he created, was magnetic. We all wanted more of it.

Dave’s light is now quite literally shining in homes across the country, illuminating the lives of people he never met. What an extraordinary legacy.

Dave, you are deeply admired, and we are so proud to install your creations in so many of our projects. Sending love and light to everyone who knew and loved you.

May your memory be eternal. 💛✨💡
