The Ferndale Residence is a new home for an art collector who needed space more suitable for a diverse art collection, consulting business, and daughter’s special needs. Throughout the project, light and connection to the outdoors drive programmatic configurations and sectional nuances.

The Grenoch Residence, located in the 100 year floodplain, seeks a new prototype for Houston development after Hurricane Harvey. Rather than following the standard 5’ lift dictated by FEMA and common to new neighboring homes, most of the first floor is raised a full story to open the ground for parking, dining, parties, pool, and yard play.

CONTENT is joining Houston's tech and innovation community on October 27th at 11:30a for "How to Design Disaster-Resilient Communities," part of , The Houston Innovation Summit.

The panel discussion, curated by AIA Houston Chapter and Architecture Center Houston, will examine case studies of environmentally sustainable and resilient solutions, and discuss best practices and ideas for flood mitigation and prevention in residential design. Eric Hughes will present one of CONTENT's exciting new projects that addresses housing in Houston's flood plain.

Throughout the week, Station Houston is hosting THIS, The Houston Innovation Summit, launched as an annual event for Houstonians to connect, ideate, create and celebrate together. will address local challenges that were magnified by Hurricane Harvey, and identify how to turn them into opportunities for insight, innovation, and impact.

NOTEWORTHY: Hager was the 2017 AIA Houston Ben Brewer Young Architect Award recipient as well as the recipient of the 2017 Texas Society of Architects Award for Young Professional Achievement in Honor of William W. Caudill. His projects have been featured in several publications, including Texas Architect, Residential Architect, Du Jour, Houston Chronicle and more! The Bayou residence featured here has been published as the feature article “Welch 2.0” in the May/June 2015 issue of TEXAS ARCHITECT, as well as the feature article “Future Imperfect,” in the summer 2015 issue of DU JOUR Magazine.

$25 Full-Tour Advance Tickets or $35 on the weekend of the tour. $10 Single House Ticket (Single house tickets will not be available for pre-sale). The Full-Tour and Single House Tickets can be purchased at any of the participating houses during tour hours and are good both days of the tour.
