Today’s class was a little different…

Most of you know me for cakes, cookies, and desserts. But every now and then I love sharing one of my family’s favorite recipes.

This time, it was a refreshing East European Cold Beet Soup—and it was such a wonderful class! 💕

Seeing everyone enjoy it reminded me that food is more than dessert. It’s tradition, culture, memories, and bringing people together.

So don’t be surprised if you start seeing an occasional savory recipe or cooking class here. I’ll always love baking, but I also love sharing the flavors and traditions that have been part of my life for many years.

Thank you to everyone who joined my Bento Cake Painting Workshop today. It was so much fun watching simple cakes turn into unique edible works of art.
