**Okra transplants for sale 5/16/25**
-Figs for sale are listed in previous post. (SOLD)
Okra transplants: 5 varieties available for $1 each. Variety descriptions provided below.
MINIMUM PURCHASE OF $5.
These transplants are six weeks old and ready to go into the ground. The redish coloration of the leaves of some varieties is normal. The plants are discounted because they do have some insect damage as shown in the pictures, but they are healthy, growing well, and have flower buds.
Varieties are:
-Burmese- (53 days to harvest) Pods are less gooey than other okra varieties! Shorter variety that produces early and continues until frost. Slender, virtually spineless pods grow to 9-12 inches and mature from light green to creamy yellow-green.
-Borneo- (62 days to harvest) Extra-long pods are predominantly pale green, and often develop a pink to crimson blush as they grow. Pods have good flavor and can grow to over 14” and remain tender!
-Okinawa pink- (55 days to harvest) Smooth, pink pods tender to six inches with excellent flavor and abundant production. Plants grow 5-6 feet tall.
-Puerto Rico Everblush- (60-65 days to harvest)
Tall, red-green stemmed plants and long, thin, ridgeless pods that often develop a pink to crimson blush as they mature. Pods are smooth to velvety, rounded in shape (i.e. no ridges). Best harvested at six inches, this variety is known for being early, productive, and delicious.
-Clemson Spineless 80- (55-60 days to harvest)
A popular variety known for its high yield of smooth, spineless pods. The plants grow up to 4 feet tall and produce a good amount of green, grooved pods that are tender and flavorful, especially when harvested at 3-4 inches long.
