Fully clothed in that freezing cold vehicle, bundled up in your only blanket, no money, no help, nowhere to live, parking under bright lights of a hotel parking lot every night in the best part of town for safety, struggling for water, food, and belief you keep pushing. For months-what seems like an eternity-you fight for strength to find your way back to a smile, a roof, a steady paycheck, some kind of peace. Those you believed were friends laughed at you, talked about you, degraded you, enjoyed seeing you fail. Being homeless makes you dig into the depths of your soul to find strength you never knew. Then, one day, you rise up, recover, and live 100 times better than the day it all fell apart. Jesus.
