Day 1 at NKBA KBIS Leader2Leader in Orlando was nothing short of inspiring.

From a fantastic breakfast and reconnecting with interior designers from across North America and Canada, to impactful keynote sessions — especially from Chip Wade — the energy in the room was powerful and forward-focused.

One of the most meaningful moments of the day was NKBA, led by Bill Darcy, presenting a $50,000 check to support the Skilled Labor Fund — a strong statement about investing in the future of our industry.

We also celebrated the Chapter Star Awards (proud moment for our chapter!) and wrapped up the day with collaborative breakout sessions focused on strengthening membership, communications, leadership, and chapter growth nationwide.

Grateful for NKBA leadership and all the sponsors who make events like this possible.

Now getting ready for the Design Awards tonight — and tomorrow, KBIS officially begins!

Such a fun night celebrating the new Modern Luxury Houston issue at the stunning Santé on Richmond Ave!

The vibe was amazing—great people, great conversations, and yes… even though I don’t drink, their mocktails were on point! Add in their delicious food and beautiful atmosphere, and you get the perfect evening.

Huge thank you to Jennifer Cope and the Modern Luxury Houston team for hosting another unforgettable event. You guys always know how to throw a party!

If you haven’t checked out Santé yet, put it on your list—you’ll love it.

Such a fun Saturday at Hermann Park!

Walmart is here with an amazing pop-up for their home delivery service. We loved finding our ‘park persona,’ building a kit with free swag, and getting a free Polaroid!

The student talent is next-level—we’re talking Gucci awards and designing libraries! A huge thank you to the dedicated faculty for their leadership.
Can’t wait to host the students at our Floor & Decor Design Studio next week for a hands-on Materials class!

Living like royalty for a few days in the incredible “Sultan” Suite at !
From the moment I stepped onto the intricate, handmade zellige tiles, I knew this place was special. This L’Ambassadeur suite is an absolute dream, with so much space to relax and unwind.
The absolute highlight? My own enormous private terrace! Morning milk with views over the stunning historic patio and then watching the sun dance on the swimming pool was just magical. It’s an oasis of peace right in the heart of Fès.
If Morocco is on your list, this experience is one for the books. Unforgettable!

Waking up in a masterpiece. My morning at the stunning The Ritz Carlton Rabat, Dar Es Salam, was nothing short of magical. There’s an unmatched feeling of peace that comes from stepping onto a private balcony to be greeted by acres of lush, green gardens, swaying palm trees, and the gentle shimmer of a lake.

This property is undoubtedly one of the most breathtaking places I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. The attention to detail, the serene atmosphere, and the sheer beauty of the surroundings are on another level.

This is just a small glimpse into this incredible oasis. Stay tuned as I’ll be sharing much more about this unforgettable experience in future posts!

Exploring Round Top, Texas, was an unforgettable experience!

During our visit, we had the pleasure of stopping by Lulu’s for lunch—a charming spot with a fantastic atmosphere. While I was fasting, I still had a great time connecting and engaging in amazing conversations with some of the top interior designers from the Greater Houston area. Moments like these truly highlight the power of community and shared passion for design.

Stay tuned for more pictures and insights from my visit to the Round Top Designer Showhouse—an incredible showcase of talent and craftsmanship. A big thank you to Dear Design Society for this wonderful opportunity to be part of this design trip.

An Unforgettable Night at the 2025 KBIS Design Awards!

A huge shoutout to NKBA & KBIS for organizing what has truly been the best KBIS event I’ve attended so far! The Design Awards + Opening Party at The Wynn was nothing short of spectacular—from the flawless ex*****on, inspiring presenters, and engaging speakers throughout the day, to the amazing food and the chance to celebrate the industry’s finest talents. I can’t thank the KBIS & NKBA team enough for their dedication to making this event an unforgettable experience!

I feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by some of North America’s top interior designers, reconnecting with familiar faces and making new industry connections.

A special congratulations to all the winners who were recognized last night for their outstanding work
This event is an inspiration for all design professionals, and I highly encourage everyone to submit their projects for next year’s awards! Let’s continue to push the boundaries of design excellence!
