Well, actually, this is NOT the lowest quality rug woven in Turkey, but Mehdi got your attention. We think this one is beautiful. The patterns and colors make us happy, and it still has plenty of life left in the pile to serve someone well for years to come.

In the 1990s, the U.S. market was flooded with Indo-Bijar rugs. These reproductions of Persian Bijar rugs were handwoven in India. Especially common: the fish/mahi/herati design, as Mehdi shows us here. Don't mistake them for the real thing!

When is a signed rug really a signed rug? How many "Seirafian" rugs could possibly exist? Let's just say this is a nice Isfahan.

Antique rug alert! Mehdi just acquired this gorgeous Persian Tabriz with overall design. He is still swooning!

Today, Mehdi shows us this lovely 13' x 18' Persian Tabriz with pistachio background.

What's this? A beautiful silk rug from . . . China.

10/05/2026

This one is a little newfangled, but still a good, beautiful, Persian rug.

Although we prefer the original colors, this Isfahan is still interesting . . . for someone.
