Good Evening Everyone! Hope you all had a Great weekend & an Ok Monday (as good as any Monday can get LOL)
Well, we completed the big Kitchen Refacing project in Spring Hill. If you look at our previous posting, you will see pictures of the old “Before” Dark Black/Dark Brown kitchen. All the cabinets, doors, drawer fronts, cabinet facing, trim, base, etc. were spray painted (may we note; Not a good paint job, at all…tons of overspray, runs, etc)
Our task was to totally removed ALL the old dark, painted products & finish and replace it with All New Bright White products & finish.
This is what existing cabinet “Refacing” technique looks like, before & after.
We start by doing a complete demolition ** by removing ALL the old doors, drawer fronts, trim, base, etc. These old doors, drawer fronts, trim etc are all sent to the trash. After EVERYTHING is removed down to the “bare bones” of the existing cabinet framing. We then prep & sand all the cabinet finishes down to the bare, raw wood beneath to expose the clean, open pores of the wood.
After our “demo” we returned to our shop to custom prep, sand & paint all of the new wood products - doors, drawer fronts, wood veneer, crown molding, scribe trim, specialty fluted trim pieces , baseboard, etc.
After everything is painted & cured, we returned to the customers home to begin the refacing project.
Upon our return to the customers home, after custom painting all the large amounts of new, real wood products in our shop, We start by again by resanding & prepping all the raw, unfinished surfaces of all the existing cabinets, then we use industrial strength adhesive to adhere the freshly painted, new wood veneer to all the existing cabinets. Then we mount the crown molding, specialty fluted trim, scribe trim & baseboards. Next, we move onto mounting the newly painted, real wood white Shaker style doors on all new soft close hinge, then mount the drawer fronts to the new custom real wood drawers.
Finally, the brushed stainless handles are drilled to doors & drawer fronts are mounted.
Then we finished with mounting & grouting the customers selected grey subway tile backsplash.
Such a Beautiful & Magnificent Transformation!!! Looks so much cleaner & brighter! The customers LOVE it! (& so do we! 👍😀)
