Work is complete on the Lakehouse Screened Porch!

This addition provides generous outdoor living spaces for quiet evenings overlooking the lake.

Special features include sun portals, infrared heating for those colder nights, shades & smart lighting controls.

Kevin of Helder Home Services oversaw construction and did an outstanding job bringing homeowners Bruce & Jamie's vision to reality.

Jamie's artistic talent for furnishings, color selections & all things decorating imbue the space with a cozy welcoming atmosphere for family & friends to gather.

This project took an aging playroom space in need of renovation back down to studs and included strengthening the original roof structure, adding skylights, spray foam insulation and a recent mini-split unit for improved conditioning. I provided design with limited construction in select areas. Homeowners Baird & Beth contracted their project and self performed much of the work; with me assisting for framing, trim carpentry, built-in's and stair railings. Their attention to detail & quality throughout the entire project was exceptional and I'm glad to have been a part of it with them.

Recently I have been assisting with design for an addition for Helping Hands Food Pantry in Charlotte. Began as a non-profit in 1982, recent need has grown such that they are experiencing difficulty maintaining enough stock in their current facility that is only 5 years old. This 3,120sf addition will double the storage capacity meaning they'll be able to support more families. They are currently in the fundraising stage. I've had the pleasure of being a part of this project for Equine Assisted Development in Grand Rapids.

"Equine Assisted Development is a faith-based, non-profit farm in the city providing EAGALA-certified non-riding horse therapy services to those who are hurting".

The new building will fill a need for offices and a space for staff, volunteers and visitors. Construction is anticipated to begin soon and they are currently fundraising to help with the costs. Additional information about the organization can be found at: https://www.equineassisteddev.org
