Dear Friends,
We are sorry to say that we will not be opening this year (2021) for our spring sales. *** We will not have any plants to sell.***
We sure hate to disappoint our good customers, but we (specifically Gary) needed a break from the hectic schedule and heavy work load. We really need to do some jobs around the house and farm.
The Lord permitting, Gary is planning to retire from his two jobs in a few years. The goal is to reopen the nursery for sales at that time.
We have discussed having both spring and fall sales in the future.
We will keep our infrastructure in place, and it shouldn't take long to reopen. Gary plans on adding more stock plants to our collection.
Gary does say that, of the jobs that he has had, he has enjoyed the nursery work most of all. We consider ourselves fortunate to have met some really nice folks since our first sale.
When the nursery is open again, we plan to make posts on our page and , hopefully, send letters to those whose addresses we have. We don't have a set date for this yet.

Tomorrow, Sunday May 31, 2020 will be our last day for the year. We still have several nice plants at only $3.00 each. Carlcephallum viburnum is worth the drive. This is a fragrant snowball bush. It has the large white snowballs, with fragrance. In the fall the leaves changes to a beautiful reddish purple. It is a good specimen plant or can be planted in groups.

If you visit the nursery and you are not greeted within a few minutes, feel free to knock or ring the door bell at the side door. (Thank you for not banging on the door. :) ) We try to watch for customers, but sometimes they are here and gone before we are even aware anyone was outside.

'Kumson' Forsythia
(Forsythia viridissima)

The Forsythia is one of the first bloomers of spring. The quick-growing 'Kumson' has beautiful golden-yellow blossoms in the spring, followed by green foliage with silver veins in the summer, and a deep purple branch in the winter.
The genus was named after William Forsyth.

Height: 5'; Spread: 4'-6'.

Plant at least 3' apart.

Needs full sun to almost shade; is tolerant of shade.

Tolerant of moist soil, but not standing water.

Deer resistant and tolerant of pollution.
