I just looked over at this corner in my kitchen and realised it was the perfect day to remember My Mom 🍒and share our love, our laughs & our learnings. Family, laughter, home, color and projects - that’s what she did, that’s what she’s given us and that’s what I’ll share.

I started an Instagram account for her a couple of months before Mom died. Avid reader and magazine-aholic, she struggled after many publications stopped printing as much or even at all. Design*Sponge saved the day, but not for long enough. I told her she could find all that great inspiration on instagram now. Reluctantly, we held virtual hands and I set it up and eased her in. Facebook scared her. I said, ‘OK, we won’t do that. Think of it like a town square…’ but she couldn’t. IG it was, but only for a blip.

(I’ve now set up FB for her, because many of her friends are here and might like to see her news too)

Time has moved on and I’ve thought about what to do with these accounts and didn’t want them to be a place for my grief. Mimi wanted a CELEBRATION of her life, so that’s what it will be. A celebration of all she gave us and continues to give us.
