I just looked over at this corner in my kitchen and realised it was the perfect day to remember My Mom šand share our love, our laughs & our learnings. Family, laughter, home, color and projects - thatās what she did, thatās what sheās given us and thatās what Iāll share.
I started an Instagram account for her a couple of months before Mom died. Avid reader and magazine-aholic, she struggled after many publications stopped printing as much or even at all. Design*Sponge saved the day, but not for long enough. I told her she could find all that great inspiration on instagram now. Reluctantly, we held virtual hands and I set it up and eased her in. Facebook scared her. I said, āOK, we wonāt do that. Think of it like a town squareā¦ā but she couldnāt. IG it was, but only for a blip.
(Iāve now set up FB for her, because many of her friends are here and might like to see her news too)
Time has moved on and Iāve thought about what to do with these accounts and didnāt want them to be a place for my grief. Mimi wanted a CELEBRATION of her life, so thatās what it will be. A celebration of all she gave us and continues to give us.
Hereās to You Mom, MimiLynne⦠The Mimoi, with us š
