Over the years Gleason Design has had the good fortune to partner with some of the best design firms, builders and contractors in the area. During an extended partnership with a luxury homebuilder on Lake Norman, the company was awarded four "Best of the Lake" design awards including "Best in Show". In 2003, Gleason Design assisted in the prototype roll-out and intruduction of a Canadian-based bank into the American market, and in 2010, Gleason Design has been active in assisting with the merger, consolidation, and branding of two of America's largest financial institutions. Gleason Design has worked on project with budgets as small as a few hundred dollars to seven million plus. Services and schedules are flexible and can meet the needs of any client. Brian 'Berg' Gleason is the founder, owner, and lead designer. Gleason received his Bachelors in Science from The Ohio State University and his Masters in Architecture from the University of North Carolina. Gleason has served as the head of the architectural department for a division of one of the largest homebuilders in America. During his tenure, the company was named "America's Best Builder" by the National Association of Homebuilders. Gleason is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects and a member of the Urban Land Institute. While completing his Masters degree, Mr. Gleason was a founding member of the affiliation between the University of North Carolina and the Construction Specifications Institute. In 2008, the Environmental Protection Agency awarded Mr. Gleason the "3P" grant based on a proposal to revitalize 'Greyfield' sites along Independence Boulevard. The proposal would bring new businesses to the area, while educating the public on conservation techniques.
