People sometimes feel they need to be able to articulate why they want a particular work before they are allowed to buy it. That is not how it works.

The attraction does not need a defense. You do not have to be able to explain Bickering to someone who asks; you just have to know it belongs in your space.

The explanation, if you want one, tends to arrive later on its own.

Interior designers often talk about sightlines. They're the natural path your eye travels when you enter or move through a room.

Most people never think about this consciously, but they feel it. Art placed directly in a sightline changes a room immediately.

Placement is as intentional as the work itself.

I think "Indigo Daydreams" could fit into a few different places. Where will you display it?

This watercolor scene captures the essence of a serene summer day on the water. Let me transport you to the tranquil waters surrounding Shelter Island. I created this painting focusing mainly on one color, indigo. I wanted to experiment with a monochromatic look and I love the dreamy affect that the yacht and bay take on. I've added subtle hints of hooker's green in the distant land and and shimmering touches in the water to add depth and contrast, while payne's gray deepens the atmospheric tones. Summer evenings are longer than any other time of year. There is genuinely stretched, unhurried time to do something that is not productive, not scheduled, not on a screen.
