This drama queen has been the talk of our greenhouse this week 👀

R Mona is a vibrant waterlily type dahlia whose red blooms stand out in any garden or greenhouse 💃

Growing up to 4 ft tall with 4 inch blossoms, this beauty will keep producing flowers from summer into fall. The blooms soften with maturity, taking on a raspberry-pink hue.

We are slowly inching our way toward warm weather here in Utah, and we can’t wait to get our dahlias in the ground! 🌿

🚨 Plot twist nobody saw coming… including me 🫎

Remember that super fun, wildly ambitious, slightly unhinged idea I had about doing an in-person Dapper Dahlias by Moose sale on April 25th?

Yeah… about that 😅

After reading all your excitement (seriously—YOU PEOPLE SHOWED UP 🔥), I had to take a step back and apply a little Moose Math:

🌸 700 more orders to ship
🌸 Hundreds of varieties to manage
🌸 Approximately 0 extra hours hiding in my back pocket

Conclusion: Moose cannot be in two places at once… yet.

As much as I love the idea of meeting you all in person, I’ve decided to hit pause on the April 25th sale so we can stay focused on getting everyone’s orders out the door safely and on time. Because at the end of the day, you trusting me with your dahlias > me overcommitting and spiraling into plant chaos.

💭 Translation: Big dreams are great… but so is not completely losing your mind during shipping season.

This is NOT a never—it’s just a not-right-now. We’ll absolutely revisit an in-person event when things aren’t operating at full “dahlia tornado” capacity.

Now I need your help 👇
If you were one of the people excited about coming, drop a 🌸 in the comments so I know who to notify FIRST when we make this happen later!

Back to the fields I go… if you see a moose buried in tubers, mind your business.

First blooms aren’t always perfect… but LOOK at this potential 👀

This is Appaloosa 🐎🌸

A variegated anemone dahlia named after the iconic spotted Appaloosa horse – and we’re already seeing hints of that wild, speckled charm.

Appaloosa is a miniature variety that grows up to 3-4 ft in height, with 3-4 inch blooms.

We’re calling it now: this one’s going to be a showstopper 🎉

Watch for an announcement when this baby becomes available for sale!

🚨 Be honest with me, Northern Utah… how far would you drive for a trunk full of ridiculously good-looking dahlias? 🫎🌸

I’ve got hundreds of gallon + quart sized dahlias that are absolutely showing off right now and they’re ready to leave the nest (before I get too emotionally attached… it’s already happening).

I’m thinking about hosting an in-person dahlia sale in Hyde Park, UT on April 25th — but before I commit, I need to know…

👉 Would YOU come?
👉 How far would you drive?
👉 Are you bringing a friend… or pretending you’re just “looking”?

Here’s the situation:
• Plants are established, rooted, and looking suspiciously perfect
• Tons of varieties (like… a slightly unreasonable amount)
• You get to hand-pick your plants instead of gambling online like a dahlia cowboy

If you want to scope out what I grow, you can browse the website: dapperdahliasbymoose.com

Alright, Moose needs data (very official, very scientific 🧠📊):
Drop a comment with your city + if you’d come!

If enough of you are in, we’re doing this. If not… I guess I’ll just keep living in a jungle of dahlias. Tough life.

Comment so I know you made it to the end — and tell me your city! 🌼

Antlers up, dahlia lovers! ✨ We’ve got a fresh stunner to show off…

Meet Hapet Sweet Honey 🌸🍯

This small-to-medium decorative darling grows 4.5–5 ft tall and serves up 4.5–5 inch blooms on strong, upright stems, with a vase life that keeps the magic going (aka: cut flower DREAMS).

She’s sweet, she’s rare, and she’s coming your way 👀

Hapet Sweet Honey will be available this May—stay tuned for the official shop reopening announcement!

Today we are working on planting all the new KA and RM varieties introduced for 2026 (around 20 varieties in total!) 🌸

We are licensed sellers for both of these farms. These varieties will be available for sale in the fall, once they are bloom verified.

To see these varieties in all their fully-bloomed glory, visit the hybridizers’ pages: santacruzdahlias and rivermerlefarm.

Which of these new releases has caught your eye? Drop a comment!

“Moose, how did you become so dapper?” 🧐

While the answer to this one ☝️ is a bit of a long story, Moose is always happy to answer questions and chat dahlias.

Since some questions pop up often, we put together this FAQ to make finding answers easier (and so you don’t have to wait for Moose to stop playing with flowers and reply to your message 😉).

What other questions do you have about Dapper Dahlias or dahlias in general? Let us know in the comments or shoot us a message!

A massive flock of dahlias was recently spotted migrating to the Dapper Dahlias shipping facility 🪴👀

The switch from the greenhouse to the cooler shipping facility will give these beauties a chance to harden off before we ship them off to you 🚛💨

Here is a quick reminder that within the shipping window, we ship to warmer states first and work toward cooler states, prioritizing orders from oldest to newest.

We still have rooted cuttings and grandes available to ship in April and May! Visit www.dapperdahliasbymoose.com to explore our varieties – several are on sale!

Antlers Up, Dahlia Herd 🫎🌿

These Grandes are THICC. Like… ate-the-whole-garden-and-asked-for-seconds thicc.
Lush, leafy, and greener than Moose’s snack stash—each one basically a full buffet on a stem.

• Big plants
• Fat growth
• Ready to root, shoot, and absolutely flex in your garden

Shipping next week… and yeah, they’re not just growing—they’re showing off.

Drop a 🌱 if you’re ready to plant my lunch! 👇
