Behind the scenes of a small-town asphalt company
Asphalt season might not be in full swing yet, but the preparation has already started.
This time of year means our evenings look like this; Jordy at the kitchen table going through calls, measuring jobs, and working up bids for the upcoming season.
He’s been in construction since he was 15 and has spent the last 12 years in asphalt(dang, starting to show our age😬), including 3 years as a foreman. The experience on the job is what helps him plan projects carefully and give customers honest, realistic bids.
When you support a small, family-owned business, you’re supporting the behind-the-scenes work too. The late nights, early mornings, and the planning that goes into every project before the first piece of equipment ever shows up.
The calls for bids are already coming in, and we’re thankful for everyone who continues to trust us with their driveways, parking lots, and projects.
