Today is June 1st and its officially hurricane season. We hope everyone is prepared or is getting prepared as we all know how quickly things can change. In addition, we would like to remind you to please clean up and trim bushes, flower beds, etc near and around your windows and doors. Organize your shutters and label them in order. Make sure that you have all hardware needed (i.e. screws, wing nuts, washers, etc). Inspect your concrete bolts and replace any that are stripped or broken, especially if you have a 2 story home, as repairing or replacing those are a little harder and definitely more time consuming. Taking these steps will make putting on your hurricane shutters easier and quicker. When the threat of a hurricane is near, we get many calls to put up hurricane shutters and we try our best to accommodate as many homes as possible.
