We had to keep this under wraps for a while (until it was formally announced), but Charlotte Custom Stone was selected to help build the 2026 HGTV Dream Home, located on the lake outside of Charlotte, NC.
We did all the exterior stone work, and the backsplash in the kitchen.

We don’t just do exterior stone veneers, fireplaces, or patios. Here’s a stone backsplash that we did for one of our builder partners. More pictures to follow as soon as they finish the hood vent and the rest of the kitchen.

The Charlotte Custom Stone team was honored to partner with David Weekley Homes and Sleep in Heavenly Peace to build single and bunk beds for children in our area that don’t have a bed to sleep in.
We also purchased bedding for 10 beds.
Warms the heart knowing that some kids will finally have a bed to sleep on.

IMPORTANT FOLLOW-UP
As y’all know, my company, Charlotte Custom Stone, in partnership with Racing for ALS, is doing a hurricane relief supply collection at Lowe’s in Indian Trail this coming Thursday (17th.)
The address is:
5711 W Hwy 74, Indian Trail, NC 28079

We will be set up in the parking lot over by the garden center, and by the front door, starting at 8am.

We will then caravan up to deliver the collected supplies to the Lake Lure area the next day (18th.)
I’ve been communicating directly with a town official, on what their needs are, almost daily.
Please stop by the Lowe’s, and drop off, or shop for, the listed supplies. Please don’t drop off items that aren’t requested. They won’t accept those items, because they have way more than they can use/store right now. Also, please don’t clean out your house, and bring your trash. It won’t be accepted either.
Here is the specific needs they have right now. This list will change in a few weeks, and we’ll pivot to get them other items later.

NEEDS:
Hip waders
Electric heaters
Extension cords
work gloves
chainsaws -various sizes
bar oil for chainsaws
two-cycle oil
chainsaw chains - various sizes
rain suits various sizes
Tyvec suites for clean-up
large fish nets (for cleaning up the lakes)
heavy rope
Household cleaning supplies
Yard waste trash bags
Lightbulbs
Metal rakes
Shovels

They have plenty of water, non perishable food and clothing, so please don’t bring those items.

Collecting funds for supplies for Western North Carolina residents impacted by the hurricane.

As you all know, the western NC area has been decimated by the hurricane, and relief efforts are slow to assist.
We cannot just stand by and not do something. That’s not who we are, and not the culture in my company.
There are SO many people who now have nothing, and some are completely cut off from assistance.
Charlotte Custom Stone has partnered with Racing for ALS (a Non-profit who normally raises money for ALS research and provides patient assistance) to collect much needed supplies and caravan them up to various communities.
FEMA assistance has been slow, and is mostly providing to larger areas, like Asheville. We are focusing on the smaller communities.

We will be closed on Oct 17th and 18th.
On Thursday, the 17th, we will be set up at the Lowe's Home Improvement on Hwy 74 in Indian Trail, NC for collecting supplies (list at bottom).
Friday, Oct 18th, we will be transporting those supplies in trucks and trailers up to the Lake Lure and Chimney Rock areas.
We have a contact with the Town of Lake Lure.
We also have a local who has been making regular runs up there, and knows the open roads, so they will lead our caravan.
We have applied for a permit to get into that area.
And, we will be escorted by local police/military personnel, if necessary.
Our plan is to get in, unload, and get out.
We will NOT be a strain on local resources, and will not cause a disruption to their efforts.
If we are asked to assist in any other capacity, it will be evaluated on the fly.

What we are asking from you is collection assistance.
We do not need help loading, but won't turn it away either. We will be there all day, starting at 8am.
Supplies are what we need. Bring stuff over, or shop at Lowe's onsite, and give them to us there.
