lots of new followers lately (thanks & hi 👋🏼)
let me reintroduce myself . I’m Danny . I’ve owned the french flea for almost 7 years (somehow ) !
i love ❤️ decor (duh) -iced coffee- storms - gardening -90’s alt rock lady musicians (sinead , tori , n. Merchant etc) -wizards + witches - oceans -photography - art (in general ) -antique/vintage shops - sushi- design - scary movies - vw’s- coffee table books - sarcasm - vinyl- fizzy water- past lives- halloweenie-astrology- and sharks .
I got into this because I was border line hoarding . And I love estate sales/ auctions / antiquing etc . Design is in my blood line . My mom (slide 2) is a designer and florist for 50 years . She owned her own brick and mortar for many years and started her biz in our garage when I was a kid . She won’t agree but this is how I knew owning my own biz was feasible. She took that risk and i was young and impressionable and watched it all unfold. missy also works in the shop most Thursday’s. Say hi to her. .
my beloved grandmother , bubba , (slide 3) was also a interior decorator for years. she was beautiful , glamorous, funny, and had impeccable taste . she was a woman way ahead of her time . I am lucky enough to own some of her furniture and art now and I truly treasure them. I grew up with very eclectic decor and cool art always around me and I’m very drawn to it still obviously.
I also own Lion and the cobra hair co. at the factory arts district and have been a stylist for (gulp! ) 20 years !
We are open currently Thurs , Fri , Saturdays here at the french flea and hopefully adding more hours soon . stay tuned !.
I try to bring new things in each week and try my best to feature them here on instagram . So check back to see new merch and news.
