🌿 Shop Update 🌿

It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve checked in, so I wanted to share a little update!

The new location is still under construction, but progress is being made and things are moving along. Every week gets me one step closer to reopening, and I’m excited to share the new space with all of you when it’s ready.

I also picked up a small plant order today, and some of these beauties will be making their way to the Farmers Market this weekend. 🌱

It was so great seeing everyone at last week’s market. The wind was no joke—I spent most of the day holding onto my tent and making sure it stayed where it belonged! 😂 This weekend I’m much better prepared and ready for whatever Mother Nature decides to do.

Thank you all for your patience and support during this transition. Running a small business comes with its challenges, but your encouragement means more than you know. I may be temporarily without a storefront, but The Other Side Plant Shop isn’t going anywhere.

A Little Update!! 🙂

This past week has been spent packing, moving, and saying goodbye to a space that means so much to me. I am officially moved out of my old location.

It’s bittersweet. That little shop is where it all started. So many friendships were made, so many plants found new homes, and so many memories were created within those walls. While I’m excited for what’s ahead, closing that chapter hasn’t been easy.

My new space is currently under construction, which means the shop will be closed until further notice while everything comes together. During this time, you’ll still be able to find me at the Saturday Farmers Market once I get settled in, although I will be missing the first market.

I’ll be honest—this past year has been one of the most challenging years of my life. Between running a business, moving locations, and everything else life has thrown my way, I’m looking forward to taking a little time to breathe, recharge, and focus on myself while I work toward reopening.

I already miss seeing all of you. Thank you for your patience, your support, and for sticking with me through all the changes. Your encouragement means more than you know.

Life is full of obstacles, but I’ve learned that difficult seasons don’t last forever. The goal isn’t just to reopen—it’s to come back stronger and create something even better for this amazing community.

I’ll keep everyone updated as construction progresses and I have more information to share.

There aren’t too many plants left in the store right now, but there are still some goodies hanging around if you’ve been wanting to stop in before the move! I won’t be bringing in new inventory until I’m settled into the new space, so what’s here now is what’s available for the moment. 💚

Also — I’ll be stepping out for lunch today to take care of the plants at Northwoods Manufacturing and enjoy a cookout with some of their crew 🌱🌭

The shop will reopen at 1:00 PM today! Thanks for all the continued support during this transition.

Due to recent changes to the neighboring space/shared entry area, a few people have understandably been confused about whether the shop is still open.

I just wanted to clarify that I AM absolutely still OPEN and WELCOMING customers during regular business hours. If you have any trouble finding the entrance, send me a message anytime!

Store hours are Tuesday-Friday 10-6 and Saturday 10-2 🙂

Yesterday’s workshop was such a success- thank you to everyone who came out and spent the day talking bug eating plants! 🪰🪷

A HUGE thank you to Haley for coming to help with the class. I really appreciate the extra hands and support 💚 She also took a bunch of photos from the workshop and I’m excited to share them with you all😁

🌵 Little local plant win today! 🌵

A local grower stopped into the shop today and brought me some homegrown cactus babies — and of course I couldn’t say no. 💚

I love being able to support local growers and bring in plants that were grown right here with care. These cactus are officially looking for new homes at The Other Side Plant Shop. Stop in and check them out before they disappear. 😁

New air plants!!! These adorable handmade air plant holders come with the air plant already in them!!!

🌿 Air Plant Facts & Care 🌿

Did you know air plants don’t need soil? They absorb water and nutrients through their leaves!

☀️ Bright indirect light
💧 Soak 1–2 times weekly for 20–30 mins
🌬️ Good airflow is a must
🚫 Don’t let water sit in the center of the plant

Fun fact: Air plants bloom once in their lifetime and often produce baby plants called “pups” before they fade! 💚

🌿 Still smiling after Plantchella 🌿

Thank you to everyone who showed up, supported my booth, shopped, spun the wheel, scratched tickets, talked plants, and made my first Plantchella such an amazing experience 💚

The support honestly meant everything to me, and I’m so excited for everything coming next ✨

This weekend is my Carnivorous Plant Workshop 🪴🪰 and I can’t wait for it!

I’m also slowly starting to pack up for the big move, so the shop may look a little different over the next few weeks — but there are still plenty of plants, goodies, and green chaos waiting for you 🌿
