FROM SHIGARAKI TO OKINAWA šŸ‚
Two Regions, Two Expressions of Japanese Ceramics

This September, two ceramic artists from two very different regions of Japan come together at Orange Market.

From Shigaraki, one of Japan’s historic pottery regions, Keiko Matsumoto of Keko-gama creates warm and whimsical ceramics filled with hand-painted animals, characters, and little moments from everyday life. Her pieces carry a gentle sense of humor and storytelling, bringing warmth and personality to objects made for daily use.

From Okinawa, Sanae Ozawa of Nyankoroya brings a playful, contemporary spirit to the tradition of Okinawan Yachimun. Rounded forms, expressive illustrations, and joyful colors give her work a character that feels distinctly Okinawan—relaxed, lively, and full of warmth.

Shigaraki Ɨ Okinawa. North and South.
Two regions, two traditions, and two very different ways of expressing the warmth of Japanese ceramics.

As summer slowly gives way to early autumn, we’re excited to bring these two worlds together in California for a special three-day exhibition. šŸ‚

Over the coming days, we’ll be sharing a closer look at the artists and some of the pieces arriving for the exhibition.

Orange Market Stationery Collection — Starting This September āœļøšŸ“–šŸŠ

A new chapter begins at Orange Market this September.

Our Stationery Collection officially launches this month, bringing together thoughtfully selected stationery from Japan — including special pieces created by independent illustrators and artists.

Each month, we’ll introduce something new: illustrator collections, notebooks, 2027 planners, pens, paper goods, and other unique finds that you may not see everywhere.

And there’s more to come. Toward the end of the year, we’ll also be introducing special stationery pieces and small exhibitions featuring artists we love.

Pictured here are the first two illustrator stationery collections arriving this week — just the beginning of what’s coming. 🧔

New stationery. New artists. New discoveries — every month at Orange Market.

As the Seasons Arrive

Light, flowers, wind, snow, water, persimmons, peaches—fleeting moments from nature and the changing seasons are captured in glass by imi_glass

Inspired by the quiet beauty of each season, imi_glass transforms moments that are here for only a brief time into one-of-a-kind glass works, preserving their beauty in a lasting form.

Each piece holds a different moment and feeling from the artist’s creative process—from morning dew and the first light of day to winter snow and autumn persimmons.

Dreamlike in color and light, every piece is individually crafted and truly one of a kind.

Designed to be lived with, these works can be used as vases, water vessels, or w**e vessels. With the delicate glass stopper in place, each one transforms into a sculptural object—equally beautiful as functional art or simply displayed on its own.

A celebration of nature, time, and fleeting moments—held still in glass.

✨ Join us this weekend and experience imi_glass in person.

A Limited Collection of Handcrafted Glass

Some collections don’t simply decorate a space—they quietly transform the atmosphere.

Inspired by flowers, light, and fleeting moments in nature, Imi Suzuki imi_glass creates hand-blown glass pieces that capture softness, warmth, and tranquility. With gentle colors, organic forms, and delicate textures, each piece is individually handcrafted in Japan, making every work truly one of a kind.

Whether it’s a sculptural glass bottle, a vase, or an everyday vessel, each piece reflects the changing beauty of light and brings a quiet sense of calm into daily life.

This special collection will be available for two days only:

August 22 (Sat) – August 23 (Sun)

A preview selection will also be on display at our Spectrum location beginning this week, offering a first look before the exhibition opens.

We look forward to sharing this beautiful collection with you.
