Might be aholes but some aholes are beneficial to keep around.

This is a yellow jacket wasp, a beneficial insect in the garden, who just stung, paralyzed, and is now eating a caterpillar and will feed it to its young.

Garlic scapes. Come watch along as I discuss what a garlic scape is, what garlic varieties have them, and how to know when they are ready to be picked. Yes! You can eat them and they are fantastic. Can’t get it in a store but you can ask at a farmers market.

First meal with 2026 veggies. The asparagus has arrived. I’m so excited. This egg with fresh asparagus cut this morning. I wait all year for this.

Although asparagus takes up a lot of real estate in the garden bed and it doesn’t seem to be around long enough without going to ferns it’s worth every bite!

Good thing I added 6 more asparagus bundles to the garden this year. Bring on all the asparagus!
