This Contemporary Aspen Mountain “Ajax” Landscape Painting by Connie Hammond was created in 1999 based on a personal photo taken atop Ajax Mountain (see pic). This matted and framed original painting of the iconic “Ajax” Mountain in Aspen will look amazing featured in a bedroom, den, library or bar — and the yellow tones and blue hues come to life when lit. The early-Autumn landscape reflects Aspen’s changing of the seasons that every visitor comes to love — the golden field in the forefront pulls you in to view the various ridges of the Aspen mountain range and then draws you up to the soon to be snow-filled clouds in the sky.

About the Artist:
Connie Hammond studied art throughout her career ranging from the American Academy of Art in Chicago in the late 1980s to studying in Minnesota under the renowned Reid Galey (an American Southwestern Plein Air Painter and former teacher at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts) in the late 1990s to early 2000s. Whether she’s painting a plein air landscape in Santa Fe or a mountain view in Aspen or a sunset from her current home dubbed the “Peace Palace” in Mississippi, she finds inspiration from nature and enjoys capturing the spirit of the landscape in her creations.

🟪Bodie🟪 Is there anything cuter than a 7 week old golden retriever puppy? I love getting customer orders — now more than ever — because that means I get to see Bodie up at the UPS drop off store! I introduced Bodie to my coworker Patches today since he was in the car, and after a cautious sniff or two, Patches immediately hopped into the drivers seat, sat straight up and looked firmly ahead, as if to say “I’m not going anywhere.” I think he was worried he was being replaced (never!). Bodie sure is adorable though! Puppies are the best — especially when you get to watch someone else raise them. 😜
