Haven't done LVP in a minute. This brand is Nucore and it was a delight to work with. nice and thick, cork backing, rigid snap-together parts. not a single damaged edge during the entire installation process.
clients painted the baseboard, I installed. It's been humid as all get out and holy moly was I a sweaty mess...love the result though.

Converted this storage bench into drawer storage for this client. lovely small craftsman house I've worked on before (did the kitchen back in Jan/feb of '24) with an upstairs loft. client wanted to keep the original facing intact (tongue and groove cedar planks), remove the hinges and fix the lids in place.
I used under mount drawer slides so there was no chance of the drawer bottoms falling out in the future. that slo allows more weight in the drawer. the sacrifice is that they do not pull out completely.
that tongue and groove was so fragile, but it smelled wonderful. very pleased with the final result.

Tub surround completed and cleaned up. new art hung. eventually the floors will get done, but not for a while.

New tile is in and it is fabulous.
It takes guts to say 'hey, I chose wrong' and I'm glad my client was able to make the choice. the hex up top is beautiful.
it was process though. took all the tiles off themes backing and set them individually. lots and lots of spacers. lots and lots. and then you have to pull them all out.

Got it up on the one wall and called the client in. she was underwhelmed. the white waves are much more dominant now that it's on the wall, and she didn't love it.

I put up the second wall and began clean up. I called the client in. she was still underwhelmed. one of the things I love about this client is that she knows what she likes. she wasn't feeling the waves and I respect that. she made the difficult decision to take it down. I supported this decision.

luckily the tile and thinset hadn't set up too much and I was able to get the sheets down, and the thinset scraped off the walls. made a huge mess. decided to put up the blue hex tiles instead, so off I go to Floor & Decor to pick up the sheets.

client chose a super cool wave pattern glass tile for the large accent in her shower. I call it tile but it isn't tile at all, it's sheet glass like what issued in stained glass. I know this because I do stained glass. it's quite thin, and very fragile.
there was a learning curve with it, but I'm very pleased with how it came out. it'll set up overnight and I'll put-up on the wall tomorrow.

the reward period is when you get tile up on the wall and can see what all the fuss is about. I was very excited to get the blue hex on the wall. hex is kind of famously difficult, but I am eternally optimistic that it'll be fiiiiine. yeah, hex is sucky, lol.

It looks great though. I think I'd pull it off the mesh if I were to use it again though. out it's a lovely tile, scored and broke really well, no chips, with the Husky tile scorer.

was able to get the sill in on the curb and the pony wall too.

@$%&* plumbing. new mixing valve and lines. Wedi waterproofing. job supervisor.

the drain went in perfectly this time. usually it's a bit of a wrestle, lol.
