Re-Nest

Re-Nest Residential space planning, organizing and downsizing. I call it Re-Nesting! The result will be a better functioning and more attractive home.

Let me help you recreate any of your living spaces by improving how and where you use furniture, accessories and storage. If you are downsizing, you may have years of memories that I can help you sort through. I am that objective opinion that helps you decide what you should keep, sell and donate. We live in a world full of stuff and it can be overwhelming to keep it constantly organized. Let me help you finally get organized so that you can do what you really want with your extra time.

Mementos:
A former client passed away and her daughter invited me to come and pick a penguin from her collection.
I love that I have this memento of her…a woman that demonstrated a positive attitude and continued to educate herself til the end.
Rest in peace my friend!

"Home decor waste: Making sustainable choices"

This is a great article in the Detroit News Homestyle Section.
If you don't have a subscription you can at least read the first paragraph and get the gist of it.
I have worked in many homes and sadly cheap trendy things end up going to donation. I believe in more sustainable decor.

Over 26 billion pounds of home decor go to U.S. landfills annually. Learn how to make more sustainable choices.

February Chapter Meeting!
📣 Sticky Situations: How to “UP Your Game” as a Competent, Professional Organizer (vs. Just Winging It)
🗓 Thursday, February 19, 2026
⏰ 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM (EST)
💻 Zoom Only

Program Details:

Professional organizing isn’t just about systems—it’s about how you show up when situations get uncomfortable, unclear, or ethically complex.

In this panel discussion, experienced professional organizers share real-world sticky situations they’ve encountered with clients—and, more importantly, how they handled them. Through candid stories and guided discussion, panelists will explore what it truly means to “UP your game” as a competent, professional organizer versus operating reactively or letting standards slide.

Topics include navigating difficult client dynamics, setting and enforcing boundaries, responding to requests that undermine your process or professionalism, and recognizing when a client relationship is no longer a good fit. Panelists will also discuss the often-overlooked “little things” that elevate professionalism—tone of voice, follow-through, clear agreements, and the confidence to say, “This is how I do business.”

This session offers practical insight, peer learning, and reflection for organizers at any stage who want to strengthen their confidence, decision-making, and professional presence.
