This one started as a mustard yellow bathroom with an oak vanity. The tub and the toilet stayed
put. Everything else came out down to the studs.

Behind the marble sits cement board and a waterproofed alcove. That layer is what decides
whether the wall is still dry ten years from now, and it is the part nobody photographs.

That tub is the one the owners already had. Everything around it came off, down to the studs.

Behind the green tile sits the part nobody photographs: orange Kerdi board, every seam and
every screw head sealed over. That layer is what keeps the wall dry ten years from now.

Same bathroom, completely different life. Dated tile and fixtures out, marble-look porcelain, a black hexagon floor, and a floating vanity in. Every detail, down to the built-in niche and bench, was planned before a single tile went up.
