Rare orchids in a greenhouse jungle? Take my money!
I visited the Orchids in the Wild exhibition at , which is a dream for orchid lovers, plant parents, and anyone who thinks a greenhouse full of tropical plants qualifies as a therapy session.
Instead of seeing Phalaenopsis orchids lined up in plastic at the grocery store, this exhibit shows how orchids actually grow in nature. They were mounted on trees, tucked into moss, hanging overhead, climbing through lush greenery, and casually making my living wall feel like amateur hour.
Each orchid appeared to be in near perfect condition and the collective scent of the blooms smelled better than any Tom Ford fragrance.
If you’re near San Diego or Encinitas, this is your sign to visit before it ends on June 1.
Which orchid would you take home with you if you allowed?!
