Joe had surgery this morning to get some screws and plates put in his ankle to assist in the healing process. He also had a piece of bone fragment removed. This isn't the outcome we were hoping for but it was the route to ensure he could be back on his feet in 6-8 weeks. We are thankful he can now start to recover as long as he does what he is supposed to do.
I have had several people reach out and ask what they can do for us and we are INCREDIBLY grateful! Honestly I don't have an answer because I don't really know what to ask for.
Anything is of help and much appreciated whether it be prayers, food, monetary or just a get well card! We feel so blessed regardless of this situation just to have you all in our lives🫶 If you need our address feel free to send me a text.

After a long day with scans and Ortho in Jacksonville yesterday we are now in Wilmington to discuss more options and what the actual plan is. We had to go back to the hospital yesterday for CT scans but they weren't equipped to do what was needed in Jville. Praying for actual answers now. Thank you everyone that has been reaching out and the offers of help for food and anything else we need. We are so grateful! 🫶

This is a post I definitely did not want to make but it's the easiest way to inform our community of what is going on and where we go from here.

Yesterday evening our favorite handyman broke his ankle in 2 places while working on a job. Thankfully our son Will was with him and able to get back home so I could rush him to the ER. Obviously in our line of work this is a devastating set back to our business and family. Especially with it being the busiest season of the year and our schedule booked out weeks in advance. We were told this could take 6-8 weeks to heal up but we have immense faith that he will be up and "running" before we know it. We have an Ortho appointment on Monday to either get a cast or boot, whatever they think is the best course of action. We are praying that he is able to at least become mobile with the boot and can continue very light work in the next few weeks (such as simple indoor repairs that do not require much movement).
I will be going over the schedule more Monday to move current appointments around and do the best we can for everyone. I of course will still continue to set up appointments for July! We will need the support now more than ever and appreciate your patience to get through this unfortunate situation.
Please keep Joe in your prayers for a speedy recovery both physically and financially.

Let's not forget that we live in the greatest country in the world and that it comes with the ultimate sacrifice.
