Sun State Nursery & Landscaping is proud to celebrate the completion of the new Shearwater Life master-planned residential community on County Road 210 in St.Johns County this weekend.

Beautifully situated alongside the pristine headwaters of Trout Creek, the 1,500-acre Shearwater community has been planned and designed by ELM - Ervin Lovett Miller to integrate more than 600 acres of preserved native landscape and to create an interconnected network of trails and open spaces that create unique interactions between people and nature.

Sun State Nursery & Landscaping accelerated the schedule to meet the developer, Freehold Communities’ deadline. The Shearwater community project is now home to over 1,480 trees, 15,000 shrubs, 28,000 ground covers and over half a million square feet of grass area. The developer upgraded the oak trees to 8" caliper, 20-25 feet tall, creating a lush canopy blanketed over the boulevard and a state-of-the-art irrigation system.
