My doors are locked — not because I’m afraid.

They’re locked to give you a chance
to make a better decision.

Too many people see a locked door as just a barrier.

In reality, it’s a warning.

A final opportunity.
A last moment of grace before a bad decision becomes a life-changing one.

At Wynn’s Home Awareness, we teach families how to stay protected long before danger ever reaches the doorstep.

Because once someone kicks in your door, it’s no longer about property — it’s about survival.

And in that moment, preparation becomes protection.

You wouldn’t wait for a fire to start before buying a fire extinguisher.

So don’t wait for a break-in before securing your home.

Let’s walk through your home together.
I’ll show you the weak points — and how to fix them before someone else tries to exploit them.

Imagine it’s 7:00 PM.

You and your family are sitting down for dinner when the sound of glass shattering at your front door abruptly breaks the calm.

Your heart rate rises. Your family looks to you.
In that moment, there is no time to improvise.

What is your next move?

Do you know where to go?
Is there a designated safe area?
Are your doors and entry points properly reinforced?
Does every member of your household understand the plan without confusion?

Police response times are not immediate. Those critical first minutes fall on you.

This is where Wynn’s Home Awareness and our Home Assessment Survey come in. We conduct a comprehensive, on-site evaluation of your property to identify vulnerabilities and develop clear, practical safety strategies tailored to your home and lifestyle.

Preparation is not driven by fear—it is driven by responsibility. When an emergency occurs, the plan you’ve established in advance is the plan you will follow.

In that moment, you are your first responder.

Did your car make the list???

Because these numbers should get your attention.
The most stolen cars in America aren’t being taken by accident—they’re being targeted because criminals know exactly what to look for: the easy, the accessible, and the unprotected.

If your vehicle is on this list, understand this:
You are already part of a pattern thieves study.
And patterns are where they strike first.

Here’s what you should be doing today:

✔️ Lock your doors every single time — even at home
✔️ Park in well-lit, visible areas
✔️ Don’t leave keys, fobs, or bags near entry points
✔️ Add a steering-wheel lock or tracking device
✔️ Stay alert getting in and out of your vehicle

Car theft isn’t just about losing a vehicle.
It’s about losing time, money, safety, and peace of mind.

At Wynn’s Home Awareness, we teach you how to remove opportunity from criminals before they ever make their move. Your home, your vehicle, your family — they all deserve real protection backed by real experience.

Stay ready. Stay aware.

Firearm Awareness 101: Know Your Weapon

Whether you’re a firearm owner or simply want to stay informed, understanding the basic parts of a handgun is essential for safe and responsible handling.

Key Components Explained:

• Muzzle
Where the bullet exits. Never point it at anything you don’t intend to shoot.

• Trigger & Trigger Guard
The trigger initiates the shot, and the guard helps prevent accidental discharge.

• Safety
A built-in mechanism designed to prevent unintended firing — but never rely on it alone. Always double-check.

• Magazine Release & Magazine
The release frees the magazine, allowing you to load or unload ammunition efficiently.

• Slide & Ejection Port
After firing, the slide cycles to eject the spent casing through the ejection port and chamber the next round.

Essential Firearm Safety Tips

• Always treat every firearm as if it’s loaded.
• Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
• Never point the muzzle at anything you aren’t willing to destroy.
• Secure all fi****ms properly — especially around children.

This sign reads:

“No Trespassing. Violators will be shot. Survivors will be shot again.”

It might sound tough. It might even get a laugh. But here’s the serious question:

Is posting something like this actually a smart move?

In most states, deadly force is not justified simply because someone trespasses. The law usually requires an immediate threat of serious bodily harm or death — not just someone stepping onto your property.

And here’s what many people don’t think about…

If a shooting ever happened, a sign like this could absolutely be brought up in court. A prosecutor could argue it shows intent, mindset, or even premeditation. What you meant as a joke could be presented as evidence.

There’s also civil liability. Even if you avoid criminal charges, you could still face a lawsuit.

Protecting your home and property is your right.
But threatening deadly force — especially in writing — can create legal risks you didn’t intend.

Sometimes the strongest move isn’t sounding aggressive. It’s knowing the law.

Before you hang the sign, ask yourself:
Is it protection… or potential evidence?

Know your rights. Know your state laws. Move wisely.

Garage Safety Tips by Wynn’s Home Awareness

Many homeowners think it’s okay to leave the garage door open during the day — especially when they’re home. That’s not a good idea.

Criminals often monitor neighborhoods for weeks, paying attention to which homes consistently leave their garage doors open. Your garage isn’t just a workspace — it’s a key entry point to your home and a storage area for valuable property like tools, bicycles, and vehicles.

Securing your garage is one of the most important steps in protecting your entire home. The easiest way to improve your safety? Never leave your garage door open unattended.

It’s easy to forget — maybe you’re working outside, unloading groceries, or going in and out of the house. But remember: an open garage is an open invitation. And it’s time to stop extending that invitation to criminals.

Even if you accidentally leave the garage door open, always lock the interior door that connects the garage to your home. If that door isn’t locked, you’ve just given an intruder direct access inside.

No matter how “safe” your area seems, locking up is the least you can do to protect your family and your property.

At Wynn’s Home Awareness, we teach families how to properly secure their homes and vehicles. Let us help you identify vulnerabilities before criminals do.

What Would YOU Do?!

It’s the middle of the night.
You hear something down the hallway.
Not loud enough to scream “intruder”…
but just enough to pull you out of your sleep.

You crack your bedroom door for peace of mind —
and THIS is the scenario staring back at you:

👉 Your child’s room in one direction
👉 An armed intruder in the other
👉 Only seconds to react
👉 No time to think

People don’t realize how fast a simple noise can turn into a life-changing decision.

This is why every family needs a plan.
Not fear.
Not paranoia.
A plan.

Where do you move first?
How do you protect your child?
Do you confront?
Do you retreat?
Do you secure?
Do you call out to your family?
Do you engage or barricade?

When danger is inside your home, hesitation is the real enemy.

At Wynn’s Home Awareness, I teach families how to think through scenarios like this —
before they ever happen.

Because in moments like this…
your preparation is the only thing standing between your family and danger.

Don’t guess in the moment. Prepare beforehand.

Those “harmless” stickers on your car? They might be revealing far more than you realize.

School decals, sports team logos, military tags, gym memberships, and even those cute stick-figure families can paint a clear picture of your life to the wrong person. Criminals don’t need a conversation with you—they just need information. And sometimes, we hand it to them without even noticing.

Think about it:
If someone knows where your kids go to school, what hours you work, what activities you participate in, or whether you might have valuable tools, equipment, or electronics in your vehicle…
they now have a roadmap to your routine.
A roadmap to your habits.
And a roadmap to your vulnerabilities.

Your vehicle is more than transportation—it’s a rolling billboard. Everything on it or inside it tells a story. The question is:
Are you telling a safe story or an exposing one?

Be intentional about what you display.
Be cautious about what’s visible inside your car.
And always assume someone may be paying attention.

Protect your privacy.
Protect your routine.
Protect your family.

Awareness isn’t fear—it’s preparation.
And preparation saves lives.
