TDA was honored to receive an AIA Jacksonville Design Award of Merit for the renovation and adaptive reuse of Feeding Northeast Florida’s warehouse facility.
This project was especially meaningful to our team. What was once a fragmented and aging complex is now a vibrant, cohesive, and efficient hub supporting a nonprofit that plays a vital role in our community. We’re proud to breathe new purpose into an existing structure, helping create a space that reflects the mission and impact of Feeding Northeast Florida.
A heartfelt thank-you to our incredible interior design partners at Micamy Design Studio—your creativity and dedication were essential in bringing this vision to life.
Juror Joyce Owens, FAIA, shared:
“This ambitious adaptive reuse unifies a fragmented, deteriorating complex into a cohesive and efficient community hub. Through bold yet economical moves—like the use of vertical shipping containers with vibrant graphics at the entry—the architect creates a strong identity and a welcoming presence. Architecture becomes billboard here, with clarity and purpose. It's a powerful example of how creative design can provide both visibility and dignity for a vital public mission.”
