Our nursery located on the North Fork of Long Island was first planted in 1966 and has grown to 130 acres carrying a diverse plant line. We grow a broad mix of field grown plant materials including shade and flowering trees, specimen conifers, flowering shrubs, broadleaved evergreens and more. Our container line includes flowering shrubs, vines, fruit trees, Japanese maples, roses and "pot-in pot"

flowering trees. Our location allows us to ship ar very reasonable freight rates throughout the Northeast and we have trucks to accommodate full and partial trailer loads. At Shade Trees Nursery, our customers are of extreme importance to us, regardless of size. We strive to provide you with the best, personal service in the industry. We take great care with our plant material. We start with top quality liner material. All fields are soil tested and amended during the growing process. Materials are spaced to allow for full development. Plants are fertilized at least twice annually and pruned regularly to produce full, vigorous plants. We never skimp on ball size and load directly from our fields to allow for minimal handling. All materials shipped in Spring are fertilized prior to delivery to ensure a strong flush of growth in your sales yard. All container materials are sold only when they achieve proper size for the container. All containers are fertilized with slow release and will never arrive hungry at your location.

Betula nigra Heritage has exfoliating bark that is attractive year round and it also spots nice yellow fall color. 'Heritage' differs from the species by having more colorful exfoliating bark display and increased disease resistance.

Hibiscus 'Blushing Bride' is a showy, deciduous, flowering shrub. Blooming abundantly and continuously through summer and into fall, the plant sets large, rich pink double flowers that blush pink to white as they mature.

Excellent specimen or foundation plant but is very effective massed or grouped as a hedge, screen, or a back of the bed or border plant
