Yesterday we finished cleaning up a large timber. Some areas required heavy storm damage cleanup and then we thinned out about 65 trees to let the best trees have space to thrive! The project took 2 full days, we loaded out 12 loads of logs, and had 7 loads of woodchips! If you need help cleaning up some timber, give Good Feller's Tree Service a call. Full removal of 2 large Maple trees with stump grinding. The first tree had a 60" diameter trunk and was nearly 85' tall dwarfing the 2nd tree with a 36" diameter trunk and nearly 80' tall. We have the equipment for removing these large majestic trees when they reach the end of their healthy life.

This is a good example of why we don't pin split trees. You never know how long the owner might leave the tree and a split is a catalyst for rotting the tree into an unsafe condition at the pinned location! This large Maple had FOUR 2" diameter threaded rods holding it together until it finally failed during a storm one Friday afternoon and created a bigger problem for the neighbor next door. The tree destroyed the owners roof and wedged itself between the two houses, on top of a chain link fence. Thankfully we we're able to help get the downed tree sections cleaned up without causing any additional damage from the removal process! Limbs under pressure are not something to take lightly! High winds split this Hackberry trunk down the center and snapped off several limbs. Luckily the tree held together until we were able to remove it that afternoon. This project made for a long day, but we were glad to help eliminate the threat! The family slept in peace knowing the tree was gone. This is a good reminder to always check your trees after heavy winds or storms.

It takes the right equipment to remove a fallen tree without causing more damage during the removal. Give us a call. Finally finding some time to post a few more recent storm damage projects. There were a lot of uprooted Cherry Trees in the area and this large Oak heaved and cracked the ground to shift the tree so it had a lean towards the house. Glad the homeowners noticed this and we're able to remove the tree before any damage was done.
