☀SUMMER REFRESH ☀

We took this dark, dated floor and brought it back to life.

This project was a full sand down to the natural wood, followed by 3 coats of satin-finish polyurethane. The result is a lighter, modern, and beautifully clean finish that brightens the space.

Fun Flooring Fact: Satin finish is one of the most popular sheen levels for hardwood floors because lower sheens hide scratches, dust, and footprints better than glossy finishes. It is the perfect blend of beauty and practicality.

✨ A little before-and-after transformation! ✨

When these homeowners purchased their new home, the previous owner had painted all of the trim a dark gray. While it was a unique look, it made the space feel much darker than they wanted.

We freshened everything up with a crisp, bright white finish, and what a difference it made! Now the beautiful wainscoting and trim truly stand out, creating a stunning contrast against the rich blue walls. The room feels brighter, cleaner, and much more inviting while still keeping all of its character.

Some projects are more than just painting walls. They're about helping to bring a vision to life.

We recently had the opportunity to work with @4 Elements Fine Art in Blue Ridge, and it was unlike any project we've done before.

When we first arrived, the gallery's beautiful artwork was displayed against crisp white walls. The space was already impressive, but the goal was to create a fully immersive experience where each room reflected one of the four elements.

To bring each element to life, we used four stunning Sherwin-Williams colors carefully selected to enhance the experience in each room. The Fire Room was painted in Iron Ore, creating a bold and dramatic backdrop, while the Air Room was transformed with Mauve Finery, adding a soft and uplifting feel. The Earth Room came to life with Jadite, bringing natural warmth and grounding energy to the space, and the Water Room was finished in Bluebird Feather, a calming blue that perfectly compliments the artwork and atmosphere. Together, these colors help create four distinct environments where visitors can not only view the art but fully immerse themselves in the feeling of each element.

What makes this gallery so special is that each room isn't just a different color. Each element has its own artwork, music and atmosphere, allowing visitors to step into a completely different experience as they move through the gallery.

Seeing the artwork rehung after the paint was complete was incredible! The colors didn't compete with the art. They enhanced it!

We're grateful to have been part of such a creative and meaningful transformation. If you're in Blue Ridge, this is a gallery experience worth seeing for yourself.

When most people picture painting, they imagine the final coat of color. What they don't see is everything that happens before that first finish coat.

In this photo, we're:
• Protecting floors and surrounding surfaces
• Repairing wall damage and imperfections
• Spot priming patched areas
• Ensuring a smooth, uniform finish
• Creating the proper conditions for paint to cure correctly

The preparation stage is often the most time-consuming part of a project, but it's also what separates a professional finish from one that starts showing flaws a few months later.

WE LOVE LOCAL! This week we stopped by The Carriage House Restaurant Inc- Jasper, GA. in downtown Jasper for breakfast and a quick meeting. We grabbed one of the tables out front, enjoyed the beautiful morning, and caught up on business while enjoying some incredible food.

In fact, everything was sooooo good that we completely forgot to take a picture before we dug in!

One of the things we love most about The Carriage House is that it has been a part of our community for decades. Established in 1996, this locally owned downtown favorite has been serving breakfast and lunch on Main Street for nearly 30 years, becoming a gathering place for both locals and visitors alike.

There's just something special about sitting on Main Street, supporting a locally owned business, and enjoying great food while watching our little town come to life.

If you've never stopped in, do yourself a favor and make the trip. Just don't be surprised if the food is so good that you forget to take pictures too.

Thank you to all of our local small businesses that help make Pickens County such a great place to live, work, and do business.
