Sometimes the finishing touches come after move-in day and that’s okay! This mud-bench was always part of the plan, but the client opted to hold off during the initial build in order to prioritize upgrades in other areas of the home. A few years (and lots of lived-in moments) later, they were ready to revisit the space—and we’re so glad they did!

Painted in Iron Ore to match other accents in the home, this drop zone now checks all the boxes:
✔️ Open cubbies for quick shoe storage
✔️ Large lockers to hide away coats and bags
✔️ Upper cubbies for decor
✔️ A built-in bench for sitting while putting on shoes

This master bath strikes the perfect balance between elegance and relaxation, featuring a walk-in shower with a bench seat for a spa-like experience, a standalone tub for those quiet moments, and warm wood vanities with custom black reeded glass doors for a touch of contrast. New Project Reveal: Interior Design (Part One). 🏠✨ We're kicking off the inside tour of this project, and it feels like walking through a dream. Every room tells a slightly different story, but they all share the same thread, warmth, intention, and a whole lot of heart.

Here's what we designed in this first part:
🍳 Kitchen – The soul of the home. We layered natural materials, warm woods, and timeless finishes to create a space that's as functional as it is beautiful. Because a kitchen should work hard and look good doing it.
🛋️ Living Room – Cozy, collected, and designed for actual life. Think deep seating, soft textures, and a layout that invites conversation—not perfection.
💻 Home Office – Because the way we work has changed, and our spaces should reflect that. We created a calm, focused environment that feels professional without feeling cold.
🛁 Bathrooms – Spa vibes only. Soft palettes, thoughtful lighting, and finishes that make even a quick shower feel like a retreat.
🧺 Laundry Room – Yes, even the laundry room got the full treatment. Beautiful storage, functional surfaces, and a little bit of joy in an everyday space.
🍷 Butler's Pantry – The hidden hero. Extra storage, prep space, and a place to keep the mess out of sight when entertaining.
🚪 Foyer – Because first impressions matter. We wanted this entry to feel like a warm embrace—stylish, welcoming, and a hint of the beauty waiting beyond.

Back with part two of our paint finish guide! This time, we're going glossy. ✨

If you caught part one, you know the first three finishes lean more subtle. Now we're turning up the shine:

4. Semi-Gloss – High durability with a noticeable sheen. This one's a workhorse, perfect for kitchens, bathrooms, and heavily used trim. Easy to clean and moisture-resistant, it's practical without being overly flashy.

5. Gloss – Shiny, reflective, and dramatic. Best used sparingly, think doors, cabinetry, and accent furniture. It's incredibly durable and wipeable, but it will show every imperfection, so surface prep is non-negotiable.

6. High-Gloss – The diva of paint finishes. Mirror-like shine that makes a serious statement. Ideal for modern interiors, front doors, and architectural details you really want to pop. Not for the faint of heart, but absolutely stunning when done right.
