This summer, Happylachia will be hosting our first-ever Happylachian Youth Camp Weekend on our land in Jenkins, Kentucky.

This will be a free, small-scale outdoor education weekend for boys ages 10–16, focused on:
• Outdoor safety
• Self-reliance skills
• Nature awareness
• Teamwork & responsibility

Right now we’re in the early planning phase and beginning to connect with:
• Experienced outdoor / survival educators
• Local foragers & wildcrafting teachers
• Responsible volunteers who care about youth and the land

More details will come as things solidify, but this is something we’re building slowly and carefully, with safety, education, and parent trust as priorities.

🌲 Call for Volunteers — Happylachian Youth Camp Weekend 🌲

Happylachia is hosting a FREE outdoor skills camp for boys ages 10–16 this summer — focused on mentorship, hands-on learning, and Appalachian traditions.

We’re looking for adults ready to guide the next generation — teaching responsibility, teamwork, and respect for the land.

Volunteer Roles Available:

Overnight (stay with the group day & night)

Daytime (sunrise–dusk)

This is not babysitting. This is mentorship.
