You can ride giant glowing seesaws in the middle of Manhattan…
If you visit Herald Square these days, you will see eight oversized, illuminated seesaws that have transformed Broadway into an interactive playground.
This public art installation is called “Impulse.” The setup is described as a free, interactive, playground-like experience—seesaws that light up and create music as you ride. Every movement triggers colorful LED lights and musical notes, so every ride creates a completely different light-and-sound performance. The more people who join in, the more magical it becomes. Created by Montreal design firms Lateral Office and CS Design, this installation has traveled around the world—and now it’s here in NYC!
