American Industries is looking to add a Loader Operator to our team for the 2021 Paving Season.

DUTIES:

· Accurately load, monitor, and maintain asphalt plant feed bins

· Load hot mix asphalt into trucks from storage bins.

· Monitor and maintain material stockpiles and asphalt dumpsite.

· Inspect, maintain and operate a loader in a safe and proper way to avoid accidents or undue maintenance/repair work.

· Assists with plant maintenance and operation.

· Keep plant clean and orderly (manual labor required to clean under belts, etc.)

· Dispose of excess asphalt and reject materials

· Inspect, maintain and operate a dump truck in a safe and proper way to avoid accidents or undue maintenance/repair work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum of 1 to 2 years of prior experience in operating a loader preferred

· Skid steer experience with the ability to operate in tight spaces

· Forklift experience or ability to get forklift certification.

· Ability to follow instructions and effectively communicate with others.

· Excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask, excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal, problem solving, and technical skills.

· Ability to perform manual labor and move/lift at least 75 pounds.

· Ability to work graveyard shifts as necessary (during double shifts with night paving)

· Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
