POV: You thought becoming an interior designer meant picking out pretty things all day.

Turns out it’s equal parts creativity and technical know-how…space planning, measurements, scale, specifications, problem solving, budgets, installations…and yes, plenty of paint samples and pretty things too.

Some days I’m designing beautiful rooms. Some days I’m on the floor with a tape measure. Usually, it’s a little bit of both.

But building a business doing something I genuinely love?
