I’ve had so much fun with this room. Designing it, evolving how it supports our family, as our hobbies continue to grow.

We had outgrown our previous Lego color bins so I decided to change these shelves to support more bricks and builds!

This room had been a mess for MONTHS. So it was time to set up some new organizing systems. As I cleared about 7 billion Legos off of the floor… I sorted smaller pieces into these containers with snap lids. This spread the legos out and added just enough friction to slow the frequency of full chaos (all the bins being dumped into the floor 🤪). After a year of nagging, my son now just dumps all the bins onto the floor… in their color piles 😂 This is progress!

I love this little space. It tends to be where my youngest, Mason, ends up playing most ❤️

Also those West Elm acrylic wall bins 😍 The best for cars and other small toys like Bakugans.

Now this, was inspired by my oldest son Luc and it is now my favorite Lego organization hack. He had positioned some minifigs on a plate like this and as I looked at his creation, I was like “I bet those would fit in this brightroombytarget drawer unit!

It’s been too long since I’ve posted some pretty organization 🥰

This sweet client and I kicked off another project this week, which made me realize, I hadn’t shared one of our more recent transformations for her adorable little family 😊

For everyone who is going to need an even bigger cup of ambition to start their day tomorrow…

She left us a blueprint. Be kind out loud. Work hard and laugh harder. Put books in the hands of kids who don’t have any. Take care of your people. Be so completely yourself that nobody can copy it.
We could all be a little more like Dolly, so I wanted to share some of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite humans.

I think we’re all about to see more butterflies and Dolly’s continued impact, for years to come.

In her honor…
Let’s smile at strangers.
Let’s “find out who we are and do it on purpose.”
Let’s “start paving another road” when the one we’re walking isn’t ours anymore.
Let’s remember that “storms make trees take deeper roots.”

If you’ve ever wondered how Professional Organizers achieve results like this, we’re giving away our secrets in a little series, brought to you by our amazing friends at STORAGEWORKS 😉

Every project starts with a “Decluttering Process” where we evaluate what the space needs to solve for in order to support each household’s routine and storage needs. "linen storage + travel zone" as an example.

So for this part of the process, we take everything out categorize it. Edit with our client then relocate and donate or discard what no longer supports the needs of the family and this space.

We make a list of those categories and then we know that we need structure to support each of those categories to give them home.

Next up, Product selection!

We always lead with function and reliability in mind, then strike a balance between our tried-and true products, plus more personalized solutions that match the aesthetic for each client’s space.

This ensures our service is a customized approach and we love being creative with organizing layouts.

So with our list of categories in mind, we need structure to hold space for each of them in the actual space. Since this space included a collaboration with our friend’s at STORAGEWORKS I selected some fun new products that just released, along with some tried and true favorites.

Taking the concept from my brain, to a visual resource to guide the final organizing work:

Since I am such a visual person, I utilized Interior Design expertise from our talented team member Kali. Which allowed us to then create a visual of the products in the context of each space.

She first drew the products I selected on her iPad then rendered them in 3D for a realistic visual.

And voila! 😊

Next up, came approvals and orders before our install. So, I coordinated with StorageWorks to get these products in hand, so I could complete the install, including custom labels that matched the aesthetic of the products I selected.

Once the products arrived, I wad able to line up the space. Then align each big to a category to a bin to provide structure for each category.

Mason’s next closet evolution was sponsored by a brand who has been with me from the VERY beginning. I designed this closet for Mason as he grew, and his toy collection grew with him ➡️

These STORAGEWORKS bins made play accessible, but easy to close off, calming the visual chaos of Mason’s room at night.

I love looking back on this chapter and what the kid’s rooms looked like before we built out the playroom 🥰

But before this collab…

Storageworks was a part of my first paid client transformation ever (May 2023). This took me from family projects, to making this work a real career. We’ll side-hustle at the time 😊

I categorized, created zones, and captured the bottom-level back stock in these collapsible bins.

They were the perfect addition to the space.

Then the following year, Storageworks sponsored a giveaway where we transformed a Laundry room which was such an amazing space ➡️

The husband used the closet in this room for his clothes.

So we were able to make it so much more functional AND aesthetically pleasing.

All this to say, I am very particular about my partners. So you know when you see them, that they were carefully curated. And all products I’d use in my own home ❤️

As we work on our back to school routine prep and I focus on kids’ organization in our home, I wanted to share and reflect back on my first branding shoot, which features some of my favorite kids’ spaces in our home.

I honed my craft while living in LA with a baby, reworking the space every time a new item came into our small apartment. Efficiency and anything that helped us survive a newborn was the name of the game, and my minimalist mindset was not developed just yet. I remember so many weekends where I would pull everything out, rework it, and then Tetris everything back into the space. A skill that still serves me well.

But that is not where my business began. My business really began in my current home, here in Johnson City, Tennessee. After we renovated and moved in, I asked my husband if I could spend $1,000 on organizing products and organize each space holistically, instead of my previous approach: one bin purchased here, an “oh, that’s cute” there. Ad hoc solutions. Let’s be honest, I spent more than $1,000 😬😁. But the cost was far more efficient when I went through each room thinking about the needs, systems, and routines those products had to support. Doing it all at once made every space feel complete and so supportive of the lifestyle and routines we wanted.

Today, these spaces have all changed so much. Why? Because it is important for organization to evolve as we grow and our likes, lifestyles, and needs change.

My services were created so clients can call for help on their hardest days.

So I've shown up on mine.

I’ve picked up 3 snake skins, 4 dead mice (all with gloves), a gr***de and so many teeth.

I smashed my toe, almost passed out….
Finished the day as it bled through my shoe then went to urgent care.
Lost the toenail.
Now almost a year later, it’s finally normal again.

I’ve been stung by a bee and kept working as my foot swelled….
I’ve gotten sick from mold exposure.
I’ve transported human ashes in my car for a move client.
And countless other questionable carloads, so I could make space in your home, fuel your motivation and provide an amazing transformation.

I’ve shown up on my hardest days…
Missed countless dinners and bedtimes with my family, as well as my kid’s activities and appointments.

I’ve worked after putting kids to bed, then again at 5am.

The cost of restoring the sanity of others, can mean mine is pushed to its limits.

Because I want to give you the absolute best. Thats why I do what I do.

But it means a lot of long hard hours to promote my services, differentiate ourselves in this market, and continuously improve our process and work.

These are the costs I endure.

In a few weeks, kids in our area go back to school.

Are the spaces that support their routines ready?

Because it could be the difference in having a place to come home to… for creativity to be messy but contained.

Or it could just be another space not quite reaching its full potential.

Do you have visibility on how many clean outfits are ready for the week?

Systems in place to batch decision making for outfit selection?

If they’re independent decision makers, can they reach their clothing to dress themselves?

Or is this how you’ll start your mornings?

Are systems in place for them to help pack their lunches?

Is there plenty of visibility to know when to re-stock items like cereal they can grab independently for breakfast?

Or could their morning start with an avalanche of potentially stale products?

Are their rooms set up for easy maintenance, allowing them to help you keep it clean?

Or are you doing all the work?

Well, likely just avoiding it for a lack of knowing the right structure to create?
