Recognize. Respond. Respect.
Construction Safety Week 2026 is a reminder that progress in safety only matters if it reaches every jobsite, every day. While safety standards have improved over time, serious injuries and fatalities still occur, often tied to hazards present on the jobsite. Recognizing these risks early and communicating them clearly creates the foundation for protecting every worker and strengthening a culture built on accountability and care.
But recognition alone is not enough. Responding means taking action before hazards turn into incidents by building safety into every plan, empowering workers to speak up about unsafe conditions, and adapting as those conditions evolve. Respecting that plan, and the people it protects, ensures that safety is not just a requirement, but a shared responsibility by everyone on the job. When every worker is invested in safety, and every step of the plan is approached with intention, we move closer to a safer, stronger industry for all.
