Recognize. Respond. Respect.

Construction Safety Week 2026 is a reminder that progress in safety only matters if it reaches every jobsite, every day. While safety standards have improved over time, serious injuries and fatalities still occur, often tied to hazards present on the jobsite. Recognizing these risks early and communicating them clearly creates the foundation for protecting every worker and strengthening a culture built on accountability and care.

But recognition alone is not enough. Responding means taking action before hazards turn into incidents by building safety into every plan, empowering workers to speak up about unsafe conditions, and adapting as those conditions evolve. Respecting that plan, and the people it protects, ensures that safety is not just a requirement, but a shared responsibility by everyone on the job. When every worker is invested in safety, and every step of the plan is approached with intention, we move closer to a safer, stronger industry for all.

We usually focus on people. This time, it’s people and puppies.

Back in December, the PRSH Foundation awarded $4,500 to the Foothill Dog Rescue of Shingle Springs, CA, to help the organization continue its mission.

This privately funded, volunteer-driven non-profit is dedicated to re-homing dogs from high-kill shelters and from owners who can no longer care for them. Since 2013, the rescue has placed over 5,000 dogs in forever homes.

Add it to the list of the ways the PRSH Foundation supports those bettering lives in the Sacramento Region.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11th, 2001, and to honor the courage of the first responders, service members, and countless others who stepped forward in the face of tragedy. May we never forget their sacrifice, and may we continue to stand together in unity and strength. Though many years have passed, the memory of that day stays with us, reminding us of the resilience and bravery that carried our nation through.

We are always so grateful for the opportunity to give back and support the incredible work being done in our communities and in this case, RCH's NICU. Helping provide comfort and care for the tiniest patients and their families means so much to us, and we’re honored to play a small part in making a difference where it matters most.

For us, safety goes beyond checklists and compliance—it’s a core value rooted in our identity as an employee-owned company. Each of us has a personal stake in ensuring that every team member returns home safely at the end of the day.

Our employee owners lead by example, fostering a culture where safety is everyone’s responsibility. Whether it’s in the field, the shop, or the office, we’re constantly working to prevent accidents, improve processes, and promote awareness. Because when we prioritize safety, we protect not just ourselves—but our coworkers, our families, and the communities we serve.

This month and every month, we’re committed to putting safety first—together.
