Sadly, it has come to our attention that there are some scammers on our island that are taking people's money and not ordering their cabinets. They usually settle out of court with the stipulation that no bad reviews can be written. When word does get around they often restart their business with a new website.

Here are some tips to avoid getting "taken."

Be suspicious of anyone who:

1.) Pressures you to make a decision quickly

2.) Asks you to pay in full before ordering

3.) Does not provide you with a written estimate or contract

4.) Is significantly cheaper than other vendors for the same product

5.) Does not have a showroom

Don't be afraid to ask for references and check the better business bureau for complaints.

Since everyone is focused on staying safe and being extra vigilant about cleanliness at this time we thought it might be helpful to post these tips provided by Cambria quartz countertops on the best way to disinfect your manufactured quartz counters. This list also follows the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines:

1.) 70% isopropyl rubbing alcohol

2.) Homemade spray mixture of 4 teaspoons of bleach and
1 quart of water. Let solution sit.

3.) Lysol Disinfectant Spray

4.) Professional Lysol Disinfectant Spray

Never use full strength bleach or abrasive powders or scrubs like Comet or Soft Scrub. Such products will cause the surface to look dull or inconsistent. Also, never seal manufactured quartz countertops.
