We recently faced significant water intrusion in our basement, particularly during the heavy rains in November and February. As a realtor, I'm familiar with companies that fix such issues with internal drainage and sump pumps. Yet, John proposed a simpler fix — extending the downspouts from the house and adding a gutter above the new patio, a suggestion that aligned with my spouse's earlier advice. I attempted to prepay John for his insight, hoping for a do-it-yourself solution. Based on multiple testimonials, I can vouch for John's reasonable pricing, exceptional professionalism, and communication. He comes highly recommended for any waterproofing needs.

Had a great experience with John from Thomas Family Waterproofing. Our home needed several downspouts buried. As soon as the weather was warm enough, John came out and dug the necessary trenches to carry the water a significant distance away from the house. Not only was he careful to return the grass, he also carefully hand dug my fiber optic network cable before burying one of the downspouts, saving me a pricey repair. In addition, a foundation crack within the home led to a leak. John expertly drilled pilot holes and filled the crack with epoxy. No more "musty basement" smell!

Honestly, he exceeded my expectations in every way, and I'm happy to recommend his work to anyone!

🍂 If your gutters are clogged with leaves, debris, or other obstructions, rainwater cannot flow freely - it will accumulate in the gutters and can eventually overflow with the excess water pooling near your home's foundation. This water can seep into the ground and potentially make its way into your basement or crawl space. Over time, this can lead to basement flooding and water damage. Prolonged exposure to moisture can weaken your home's foundation, leading to structural problems, and the increased humidity in the basement can create an ideal environment for mold and mildew growth.

It might not look like much, but we calculated that John moved about 30,000 pounds of sand and stone by hand today to finish this project. 💪

You can't see it the magic happening below the surface, but this house used to have a water problem, and now it doesn't. 🙌

The youngest member of the Thomas Family (8 year old Stella) is a huge dog lover. She once made it her mission to pet 100 different dogs on vacation. She tracked them in a log book and hit her goal! 😂
